My horrible week & my PS5 first impressions - Patroncast S03E10

Hey everyone!

I hope you're all doing well, or at least better than I did during the past COVID-filled week! Here is your episode of the patroncast :)

In this one, I talk about:

- 00:47 The horrible week I just had, and how I still managed to make all the planned videos despite feeling like a pile of sweat and pain

- 09:04 My impressions of the Playstation 5: I've had it for a few weeks, and played for about 80h in total, and I have a few thoughts about that device

I hope you enjoy listening to this one!

Best,

Nick

I really enjoy these adaptive triggers as well, it's surprising at first, but it's really fun and adds to the immersion a lot! Wow, that's weird, I have 2 controllers, and both have very poor battery life, 3 to 5h tops. It's not a dealbreaker, but it's still not great! I'm also bummed about the renewed console wars... I guess I'll play Starfield on PC instead, unless they release it in a decent form for the Xbox One X, which I highly doubt :D

Agree on the PS5 UI. its terrible. I've had mine a year and a half or so and im still not used to it. Trying to get to videos you recorded is just non-intuitive. I do like the controllers tho, but i have smaller hands. There are some games, like Death Loop, that takes advantage of all the stuff the controllers can do, like when a gun locks your right trigger locks and you can't push in. The first time that happened to me it confused me, but i was delighted because its been a while since i was confused by a game. I have no issues with battery life on my controller. I can go a week or two with out charging. I can get probably 8 depending on the game im playing. I had the dreaded stick drift issue, but Sony fixed it free. I am bummed about this Sony v Microsoft war and games becoming more exclusive to the various systems. I really wanted to play Starfield, but that seems like it may be a xbox exclusive now.
