The State of Nick at the end of 2022, and things that will change - Patroncast S02E51

Hey everyone!

Welcome to the last podcast of Season 2, and of 2022! Next time will be in 2023, kickstarting season 3 (no functional changes are planned, but let me know if you'd like me to up the production value with a jingle or something else!)

In this one, it's basically all personal stuff, with how I feel at the end of the year, and how I plan to improve on that in 2023, and the state of my digital life, which I finally managed to streamline quite a bit!

Let me know what you think, and what you'd improve for season 3!

In the meantime, thank you all for supporting the channel, and Happy New Year (if you use that western calendar, of course)!

Best,

Nick

It would be a pretty great idea, but I'm writing it in French, so I'm not sure it would be all too great when translated :D

I really should move to cycling...

Hey, it took me time to comment here (exam's session involved) but I wanted to suggest something exotic. Maybe it's a little dumb or irrelevant, but as you share privates stuff here and as you kinda shown the way to "little podcast rituals" suggestions (like a intro music)... well I had that thought : why not start every patreon episode with one sentence from you book* project. Just like that, out of the blue, and then you start your episode. Could be random sentences, the idea is not to build a story upon multiple episodes (like they do in newspapers with comics), it's rather to bring in a different side (and entertaining touch) of your life. And maybe with a generic ambiance sound, just to make sure that we understand it's "apart" from the topics you'll cover. Well, just an idea hé ;-) *buuuut... I'm not sure if you're writing in French or English, and I can't find that info anymore, as I don't remember in which podcast you told us about it.

You should switch to cycling, much easier on the ligaments and also much more fun than running :P Interesting with the iOS vs Android. I also have high hopes for /e/OS (are they ever gonna change that name lol) I used it for the past 4 months or so, before I bought a new phone. It genuinely works as well as any vendor android I used, plus of course the privacy. I hope they grow a lot more in 2023 and as such also expand the supported devices. I'll put it on my new phone in a heartbeat, once it's supported.
