I hope you're all doing well! Here is episode 47 of your exclusive weekly podcast :)
In this one, I talk about:
-00:37 Why I stopped wearing a smartwatch, and why I don't think I'll ever wear one again
- 15:17 Black Friday, and how it suddenly turns everyone into free marketing machines, and makes all content creators look like sellouts
I hope you enjoy listening to me ranting!
Best,
Nick

It's a "no series" Omega from 1962. It's a collection that's heavily inspired by the Seamaster of these days, but without the water resistance, the caseback engrabing, and the Seamaster branding. It looks small by today's standards, but it still fits great, nice clean black dial, silver indices, thin hands, and steel caseback, with a nice domed acrylic crystal.

If I don't find any by the end of the month, I can just donate them to someone I haven't donated to yet. I think this is a pretty good model. You have the monthly support for those that you really want to support, and you have the one-time gifts you also give to different projects. A healthy mix :)
2022-12-02 18:43:25 +0000 UTCHey Nick, unrelated but I just wanted to ask how you decide how frequently and how much to donate to FOSS projects you use. Lately I've just been picking a different project each month to throw $10-20 at, prioritizing those that I rely on more, but there are probably better ways to do this. Interested to hear your thoughts!
