Twitter moderation and verification, and the Fediverse - Patroncast S02E44

Hey everyone,

I hope you're all doing well! Here is episode 44 of the Patroncast!

In this one, I talk about:

- 00:41 Twitter, moderation and verification, in the most factual way I can, and with the most uncomfortable of positions

- 21:10 The Fediverse, and how the channel is going

I hope you enjoy listening to this one, even though I'm certain my take on Twitter will probably ruffle feathers from both Musk supporters, and Musk haters...

Best,
Nick

It could absolutely act as a gateway for people to get interested in open source, or other fediverse services! I know using Mastodon made me notice PixelFed, which I then started using!

The Linux Experiment

Without taking a stance on Twitter, people moving over to Mastodon could be seen as good for the FOSS community. It could open the doors for more people to FOSS and how it works. Not necessarily many people, I don't think even 1% of chess players who analyze with the engine Stockfish knows that it's GPL-software, but some.

Here's a linux mastodon server: https://linuxrocks.online/public/local
