Yeah, the goal is to have that safety net, to make sure I don’t lose everything I worked on for the past 10 years :) Of course, priorities change, and if I decide to go another route, at least I’ll have made a bit of money along the way!

You can have that safety net plus keep practicing your IT skills thus staying employable in that field on the long run. Unless you want to try content creation until retirement or even switch to a complete different career someday which could be nice too.
