I learned to cook because of the hierarchy: Mom would call from work and tell my big sister to start dinner, then she'd turn around and tell my big brother to start dinner, then he'd turn around and tell me to start dinner, then I'd turn around and look at the dog - and the dog would look back at me, and I'd say to him, "Welp, I guess I'm gonna start dinner..."
