Ch. 13: Preview #1

☄☄ “Now, my sweets!” ☄☄

Cubs poured over the walls, flooding the bastion around them, too fast for them to flee.  Side by side they might’ve fended them off; but divided they fell, thanks to his Mighty’s stubbornness.  He succumbed to their coordinated attack as quickly as she did. The cubs dragged him grunting and struggling to the center of the floor while his helpless teammate was hauled to the far corner.

☄☄ “Well, well, well… I have you at last.” ☄☄

A stone doorway opened in the wall, and out stepped a dizzying sight.  The feminine figure towered nearly as tall as the Panthers but possessed a sleek and sinuous grace.  Sexuality radiated from movements almost preternaturally feline, in remarkable accompaniment to her sensually skin-tight cat suit in dramatic black and white.

His jaw hit the floor as he recognized her immediately: the winning Mighty from Episode Two.  But incomparably more striking in person than on the TV.

The crowd roared in delighted recognition.  His skin crawled as she made a meandering line toward him, her head tilted strikingly as if on the prowl.

☄☄ “You know who I am, don’t you?” ☄☄ said her silken voice, the same one all along.  It reached his ears a half second before it echoed throughout the arena, thanks to the microphone on her lapel.

Crouching smoothly, she brought her face level with his.  Dark, supple hair; soft skin; inviting lips; green eyes. Plump breasts below, tugging on his eyes. Oh my.

☄☄ “Say my name,” ☄☄ she said in a beguiling whisper.  She drew even closer, almost stopping his heart.  ☄☄ “Mmm… Cat’s got your tongue, I see.  … Say it.” ☄☄

He struggled halfheartedly and stared transfixed.  ☄☄ “S-Sph …” ☄☄ Her mic picked up his stammering for all to hear.  ☄☄ “Sphinx.” ☄☄

And then he heard it: a low, guttural hum from her throat.  Purring.

☄☄ “Yessss, sweet Mouse.” ☄☄

His knees buckled.  He would have fallen if the goons weren’t holding him up.  He wasn’t sure whether to be scared or turned on … but he was certainly both.
