It certainly seems more akin to the slower direction of Better Call Saul, which works in its favour and against it. In regards to locations, I think there's only so much desert they can film before we get too accustomed to it and just take it for granted. I really liked the shots with Jesse and Todd because it works for the narrative, but each to their own. Without Walt to hold it up as well there feels like a vacuum as well, but I guess it's stupid to expect too much from a movie that had a budget of >$6mil.

2019-10-20 14:01:35 +0000 UTCHey great review mate, I have to ask what you thought about the direction of the film though. I was personally quite disappointed because the grey and boring desert shots are nothing compared to the gorgeous landscapes we were given in breaking bad.
