I had originally planned to release this map at the end of March, but unfortunately, travelling back from the US took so much more out of me than I expected, and so I only managed to finish this map up last night.
I've always really loved John Everett Millais' painting of Ophelia's death from Hamlet, and I've wanted to represent the scene in the form of an encounter map for a very long time. Perhaps the party stumble upon a moment of quiet tragedy and have a chance to intervene, or perhaps they are too late and are met with a vengeful spirit that haunts the riverbed?
I've provided versions of the map without Ophelia's body, and a token you can use if you're so inclined!
I'm hoping to get back into the swing of things quickly this month, and I really enjoyed working on this map, so I hope to work on more maps inspired by paintings and literary works going forward!
