Vieira comes from the lesser-known Centro de Lutas Dyogo Teles, a small gym in Palmas, Tocantins, Brazil. That hasn’t held him back in the slightest—he boasts an 8-0 professional record and a 3-0 run in LFA, solidifying himself as a notable talent. I’d confidently rank him among the top 25 Brazilian prospects, which is no small feat.
At his core, Vieira is a grappler, at least to me. While his striking has improved significantly, his wrestling development has been a bit slower. That said, his timing is excellent—he does a great job shooting behind his strikes or slipping under an opponent’s punch. While he may not have a traditional wrestling background, he compensates by closing the distance effectively and using his length to threaten back takes. However, many of his grappling exchanges stem from pulling guard or showing limited resistance in takedown defense. Even off his back, Vieira is dangerous—he fights for wrist control, has fluid hips, and actively hunts for submissions.
His striking can look unpolished at times, with his hands occasionally getting away from him as he throws wild shots. I could see him eventually running into a high-level striker who exposes those tendencies. That said, he's already faced and dominated several quality strikers. One of his biggest assets is his 75-inch reach, which he utilizes well with leg and body kicks, a relentless teep game, and sharp counters off the back foot. He’s effective at range but just as comfortable in the pocket.
At times, his body language gives the impression he’s absorbing a lot of damage, but in reality, he moves his head well, slipping shots and returning fire in volume. He blends technique, explosiveness, and controlled chaos—an unsettling mix for anyone standing across from him.
At just 21 years old, Vieira is an exciting prospect. While he hasn’t yet faced anyone I see as a future contender, LFA has tested him with tough competition, and he’s passed with flying colors. The future looks bright for “Problema.”
