Finally!
We're honestly gutted we missed a weekend release after working through it to try and get it ready in time, but we're pleased to release what we've been working on nonetheless:
Rats! Rats! We are the rats! And here is the giant rat that makes all of the rules, including an all-new struggle mechanic never before seen in FoxyFeast, or any similar game, really! Probably. At least, we've never seen it before. It was a lot of work and we're very proud of it. We hope you like it!
We do a little shrinking when we lose to the rat, and there's an awesome new UI just for that. Hey, that rhymes!
Speaking of UI: U and I both will enjoy the new UI! Or at least the fact it exists now, with a lives counter, and more importantly...
Tired of my sh*t? Good! Now you can see exactly how exhausting these crap jokes are, because the stamina bar is back, and it's now easier than ever to lose struggles as a result! If you do, you might see some different stuff...
What does that mean? What doesn't it mean! Quite a lot, actually... But it does mean when you lose a struggle by running out of stamina, or being too low on health (you got 3 hits), you'll see some differences in dialog and stuff. Mostly just the rat for now, but it's a good teaser for just how varied it'll all be in future.
Don't like rats? We got you, fam: watch Kim & Taily gurgle one just for you in her new cutscene! A returning favorite, nostalgic and remastered.
But what about the previous cutscene?
Relax, you'll find her in the credits area if you go left a little. She even has a little more to show you this month~
Anything Else? Check out the now-HUMONGOUS wall of thanks, showing just a fraction of the incredible support we've been given this month. We were NOT ready for the wall to be this long... We'll have to make it taller.
What about the stuff you don't see? Well, we've done a lot of work behind the scenes too, and we mean A LOT! We've upgraded pretty much all of the inner workings of the game, which makes room for more cool features in future without being hacky and difficult to work with. The new struggle is a result of that! And micro Foxy is almost ready, too. We also fixed some game-breaking bugs and upgraded to a (slightly-)newer version of the engine which we hope will fix some of those more untouchable issues some of you have been having. If any of you are still crashing at the menu you can try skipping it by launching the game with the new --skiptitle option, either from a shortcut or command-line. And no, we didn't fix the super-loaf-jump bug. You're welcome.
