Sky Whale

I finally got my new laser cutter and have fallen down a paper lantern rabbit hole lol. My current goal is to finish designing the whale lantern and star projector that's been a work in progress for years now. So to get my creative juices going again, I've painted this sky whale with a belly full of stars~

Here are some old photos of my design. The goal is to make the whale lantern a star projector so when you hang it from your ceiling, it'll also fill your room with star projections. The biggest challenge right now is to design the whale in a way that it doesn't need glue for assembly, because I hate glue and will go to any lengths to avoid it ahahaha
The current star projector in my house is shaped like a star (lol), but you can imagine the 2 ideas mixed together
