It's done. It's finally done.
So... many... variants...
Castle Ravenloft's Dungeons and Catacombs concludes my second ever Complete Curse of Strahd Map Pack. I mean, technically it's not 100% complete, but I've done all the combat-ready battle maps from the adventure and some extra! I'll be tackling some missed spots in Berez soon, as well as some random encounters and community supplements, but if anybody has any ideas for what comes next, I'd love to hear them!
I'm also hoping to dip my toes into creating original encounters and maps to go with them soon, but don't tell anyone.
This one took a while because it's just such a large area (which is also why there are so many files - sorry!), but I also really wanted to do it justice, as it has so much potential to terrify your players, and because this is the last map in a project that has taken me some time to complete. There's a lot of detail here, and a couple of assets I had to create myself. I also decided to provide the Raising the Stakes variant from Lunch Break Heroes, as it always bugged me that the Brides just sort of... hang out in the dirt by Strahd's crypt. Is it creepy? Sure, but not in a good way.
The Raising the Stakes variants of the maps, modelled after the supplement of the same name by Lunch Break Heroes, features tombs for each of Strahd's consorts, and they are as follows:
18 - Ludmilla
19 - Anastrasya
36 - Volenta
40 - Escher
I've also included a layer for Crypts 14, 31, and 35, because I can definitely see a use for those in your game.
For those of you who like to have a lot of control over your maps, I've also made variants without the golems in the Brazier Room, and without many of the most significant magic items. I've provided WebP tokens for the golems, plus WebP files for most of the items in the area that players might want to pick up (so you can include the item as a tile that you can remove once players grab it, if you'd like - I've also included opened and closed versions of King Katsky's glider, because obviously this map wasn't demanding enough).
Note Regarding UVTT/DD2VTT File:
Like the Main Floor map, the UVTT file was too big to upload to Patreon, so to use the DD2VTT file, you'll need to import it as normal, and then change the background image to one of the JPEGs or WebP files, depending on your preference.
Thank you all so much for joining me so far - I'm almost sad to be moving beyond the official maps, but mostly I'm just excited for the freedom I'll have going forward. Stick around and we'll see where we go next!
-----
My maps are made primarily with assets from Forgotten Adventures and AoA (bolstered with assets of my own making here and there), and they come with grid/gridless, day/night, and light/lightless variants, plus JPEGs or UVTTs and transparent layers (PNGs or WebP, map depending) for Foundry VTT.
