Given that I've now completed all the official maps for the Curse of Strahd adventure, I thought it might be helpful to provide a list of the maps and links! For reference, the locations are sorted based on this map by DragnaCarta.

Note: maps marked '*' have not been standardized - I was planning on updating the older maps to be consistent in style and available formats with the later maps, but the workload was just far too much to maintain while also producing new maps.

Map of Barovia
-Composed in Wonderdraft using hand-drawn assets, my map of Barovia comes with/without color, without/without the scale, and with levels of detail varying from 'labeled in its entirety' to 'here there be mountains'. I made this map before I started the original map pack, and honestly, it shows - I may come back to it at some point and see what I can do to improve it. Honestly, though, until I update my own map of the region, I'd recommend my friend DM Andy's map of Barovia, or u/Langedrosa_Blauzorn's delightful collection of maps for the region and its major towns.

Update Regarding ZIP Files:

I have decided, after almost two years of debating with myself on the matter, that I am no longer hosting or supporting my Curse of Strahd maps on Google Drive for several reasons:

-The ZIP files have not been updated since early 2022.
-The older maps are a poor representation of my work.
-Several of the maps have more updated versions listed below.
-Many of the maps listed below were released after the last update to the ZIP files.
-I no longer want to give access to my Google Drive.
-The files take up a significant amount of storage space.

I hope that you all understand - naturally, all of the maps are still available for free below!

Forgotten Adventures Tokens & Assets:

A lot of folk don't know this, but Forgotten Adventures (who create the assets I use to make my maps) offer a lot of top-down tokens and assets for free on their Live Gallery, though some of their content is limited to Patreon subscribers or purchases on their site. If you're looking for tokens or assets you can use in a VTT that fit the style of my maps, it's definitely worth a look! Forgotten Adventures also created the default tokens that appear in the 5th Edition compendium in Foundry VTT, so if you use Foundry, you already have access to quite a few of their tokens!

Little sidenote something with the recent updates to map importer (or other not 100% sure) has messed up the loading in for some maps but most maps will get fixed by changing image path to background rather than forefront or if that still does not do it using the jpeg/webp (when available) as the background its a simple fix but i just wanted to let anyone still trying to use this know in case you are not super tech savvy

Just to add.. this is because the UVTT format exports generic lighting, so what it exports is like a light switch on your wall. It more or less just says "turn a light on here". Even the default lighting inside of DungeonDraft looks better than the imported lighting. At any rate, what I do is place the lighting I definitely know I'll want in DungeonDraft. Then when I import it in to FoundryVTT, the first thing I do is adjust those lights to where they look nice, then I'll study the map for a minute and add any mood lighting or lighting effects that DungeonDraft can't export. I usually use one of the advanced lighting mods to do that, personally, but these days the advanced lighting features built-in to FoundryVTT may be enough to make you happy. :)

Hi Jane! Unfortunately, with the way that Dungeondraft exports the UVTT files, the easiest way to work around this issue is probably to import the UVTT file, and then swap the background for the WebP files that don't have lighting baked in. It's just an unfortunate side-effect of the system, I'm afraid. 😞

I just wanted to say thank you. I found you on reddit. These maps are going to make COS much more immersive for my players (I'm working on creating a digital table top for map projection with minis). Once I realized you were giving these away I just had to Subscribe. This is an incredible amount of work and I am eternally grateful. You've enabled this novice DM to level up his production.

Hi Paul! Unfortunately, it took me a while to figure out the aesthetic I was going for with these maps, so a lot of the maps until a certain point were a little harder to read than they should have been. Any maps marked with a '*' in this list have yet to be updated to the style I'm using now - I'm hoping to get back to standardising them soon, and it shouldn't take more than a few weeks once I start! In the mean-time, if it's a case that you're losing the tokens, you could try enabling their name or health bar (limiting this to the DM side if you don't want your players to see this information) so they stand out a little more, or maybe causing them to emit a little light, just enough as to make it easier to spot them? Sorry, I haven't actually used Foundry much, myself in the last year, so I'm not sure if there are any better alternatives off the top of my head!

I found that many of the maps are incredibly dark, even the daytime version (e.g. Berez - Swamp Encounter), making it hard to spot tokens (I'm using FoundryVTT with top down tokens). Is there a recommendation of how to boost the contrast between the map and tokens?
