Update Re: Curse of Strahd 2.0 UVTT Files

Hi folks!

It was recently brought to my attention that some of the UVTT files for the Curse of Strahd 2.0 maps aren't working as intended. That is, any maps with multiple levels featuring walls or lighting were only carrying the wall and lighting information for the base layer.

The good news is that this was discovered quite early on, so fixing it wasn't as much effort as it could have been, but it does mean that I needed to change my process a little bit, and unfortunately, it might add an extra step to the import process on your Virtual Table Top.

Going forward, the UVTT files will be gridless (since the VTTs have adjustable grid settings, this is probably the better option), and the upper levels will have transparent backgrounds. If you would like for the ground level to be visible from the upper stories of the maps, you can then manually change the background image to one of the gridded or gridless versions for the relevant floor.

For anyone who's not familiar with UVTT files to begin with, you can use the Universal Battlemap Importer module on FoundryVTT to import the maps with walls, windows, doors, and lighting built in. You can also upload multiple maps simultaneously, if you prefer to have all the maps for a location on a single scene. The UVTTs can also be used with Arkenforge and Encounter+, but as I have no experience with either VTT, I'm afraid I'm not familiar with the import process.

I'm not actually sure how many of you use the UVTT files, so please let me know if you do (as well as your VTT of choice, just as I'm curious) - I hope this helps with your game prep!
