Castle Ravenloft - the most terrifying map in the module just because of how unwieldy it is. I really dislike that so many maps in Curse of Strahd use 10 foot squares (or 50 and 100 foot in some cases), so you can imagine how much I hate that this one map in the module, likely the most important map in the module, is in isometric form with 10 foot squares. I needed to change that.
This one took a lot of time and energy, but a huge thanks to Tsswagger for allowing me to use her maps of Castle Ravenloft to help get the floor plan right without having to convert the isometric map to 2D entirely by myself. The isometric map almost broke me even with the help, so I can't imagine what it would've been like without. You can find her Patreon and maps here: https://www.patreon.com/Tsswagger
As far as I can tell from the map in the module, the stairway that runs all the way from the lower dungeon to the highest tower just shifts out of position when it reaches the lower dungeon (which is weird, since all the other access points for the lower dungeon are perfectly aligned). Since the stairway climbs around an opening that runs from the lower dungeon to the tower, it just didn't make any sense to me that it wouldn't line up, so I repositioned it slightly.
Given that both Crypts 14 and 35 provide an opportunity for combat, I thought it was really odd the module didn't provide any indication of what their pits looked like, so I decided to make a map for both crypts, in case anyone needs them.
Otherwise, I did enjoy trying to customize each crypt to better reflect its description - I'm particularly proud of Sir Klutz Tripalotski, even if I did only notice after exporting all the maps that he must be 7 foot tall...
