Dead day: out of town!

Just a quick update. Was out of town for a bit house sitting for my folks. I didn't my have main computer with me so I couldn't get any animating done :(. I'm considering either finishing up the cowgirl scene from ages ago or opening commissions again lol. Either way I should be back on the grind tomorrow/later today depending on timezones! Thanks for being patient!

Dead day: My floor collapsed

Originally I planned on posting a WIP of the next comm today but about 2 days ago my floor collapsed and I've been spending the last few days repairing it. At first I thought it was just some minor damage but the more I worked on it the more I realized there was more damage than first thought. I should be finished with the repairs by tomorrow though.

Apparently there was a leak in my walls that rotted some wood and caused the floor to break near the walls. It's a pretty size...

I honestly didn't expect it to be as close as it was. Everyone was in a handful of votes from each other! Sua did squeeze out a victory though! Character Vote!

Alright, I got enough suggestions to actually hold a vote! Whomever wins the vote will have an animation made of them (and a card if they don't have one, don't expect anything great though lol). My plan is to slot said animation into my usual workload, so you'll see WIP updates and the like of any work featuring them like any other scene I make. Alright, based on the last poll I went ahead and added the new plan since the idea seemed pretty popular. To give people time to sign up I'll be waiting about a week before making the suggestion post. For anyone curious. Those at the tier can suggest some characters to be added to a poll. Then we'll use that poll to vote on who appears in a future animation. Thoughts on something like character votes?

I've been workshopping an idea where I take votes for characters to appear in animations.

The idea is I create a new tier and that tier can suggest characters that everyone can vote on. The suggested character that wins can get an animation. Ideally the character will already have a usable model. Most characters should be fine, OC or not.

I don't really have all the details ironed out yet so I'm mostly just gauging interest. I think it could be a good way to ...

Side view scene patched

Apparently the side view scene was bugged and you couldn't update the interpolables or disable them and the non-deformation scene file was broken. I went ahead and updated my timeline with the help of a friend and re-saved the scenes with the fixes applied. If they STILL break it's possible you'll also need to update your timeline mod though from my limited testing it should work. Dead day: no power!

Posting from my phone, we got hit by a massive storm and pretty much the entire state doesn't have power. Earliest eta I can get it back is tomorrow but it can take up to 3 more days I think. Sorry about the delays on the wips lol.

Commissions

Figured I'd actually announce them this time. I want to raise some funds to hire a VA for the WIP. I figure it'd be higher quality with audio and it's been much requested. Back from the holidays this time for real™!

Last visiting family member finally left and I no longer have to worry about a cousin or grandparent walking in while I work. From my last post I planned on getting back to it a little earlier but a canceled flight had a few family members staying over at my house for the week.
