May 2023 Exclusive Picture: Kokiri

Hi guys! First of all, I want to thank you all for being patient with me and for your well-wishes. I certainly didn't expect to get hit by Covid after dodging that bullet for 3 years, but it happened anyway. I'm still in the process of recovery, so May will probably not be my most productive month. I do apologise. Now, let's have a look at the results of the Mother's Day poll. I think it was clear pretty quickly that it would be a contest between Kokiri from "Kiki's Delivery Service" and Carla Jaeger from "Attack On Titan". It's strange, because I thought the presence of both Kokiri and Yasuko Kusakabe on the same list would have split the Ghibli vote more, but in the end I have drawn Yasuko more often than Kokiri, so I can imagine the demand being a bit larger. Still, Yasuko ended in a respectable 4th place. Also, a very interesting and unexpected third place for Penelope from "Ulysses 31", a character I have never drawn or even considered. I think that's a good indication I should do something with her in the future. So for the moment, enjoy your Kokiri! She was suggested by Mi-Loup, so congratulations on winning! Carla will be featured in 2 weeks time as the Twice Is Nice picture. And as promised: because this is my 100th Exclusive picture, both it and the upcoming Carla Jaeger picture will be available to all patrons at any level all throughout the month of May. I'm sick, Discord rescheduled.

Hey guys, a bit of bad news: turns out the headaches I experienced over the last 2 weeks weren't because of hay fever, but because I caught a severe case of the flu. I spent the last 3 days in bed with a high fever and occasional muscle spasms because of it. Things are better today, but I'm still in full recovery.

Thefore I will have to postpone our Discord session planned for tonight until a later date, i'll try to do it early next week. There may be some delay in the delivery of the Exclusive as well: it may be ready by the 10th rather than by the 6th for the same healt reasons. Sorry about that!

April 2023 Twice Is Nice picture: Calendula (Isabelle)

The sorceress Calendula and aunt Ursule from the classic European comic "Isabelle". Full disclosure: I had originally planned to do this picture last Halloween, but the problems with certain payment platforms at that time made me reconsider doing something as obscure as this, for fear of losing further support. Now that the situation has normalised once more, I'm allowing myself to be a bit more experimental. The May Exclusive Picture Poll (special Mother's Day edition)

So... In May I will create my 100th picture for the Exclusive picture tier. SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT: This upcoming May will mark my 100th monthly exclusive picture (not counting the Twice Is Nice pictures). And as usual, May is also the month with the Mother's Day theme.

To celebrate that fact, I'm organizing another audience submission poll. Until March 29th, every supporter can submit to me one character, who is a mother (one submission per person, just the one character, no situation description). You can send me your submission via PM or e-mail.

After the 29th, I will select 7 of the submissions through a randomizing program, and then you can vote on the seven remaining candidates via a poll all throughout the month of April. The winner will become the exclusive picture for the month of May, and the runner-up will become the Twice Is Nice picture for that month.

Additionally, throughout that month of May only that exclusive picture and that Twice Is Nice picture which were the winners of the poll, will be made available to ALL supporters at any payment level, even if you have pledged $1. I want to make this a celebration to thank everybody who has supported me throughout all this time. Good luck and send me your submission!
