I probably won't do this style for a 3D game again because it kind of defeats the point of what I want to do. The point is to depict the characters as they actually look and exist in their world so that it seems more real, and this doesn't match, so I find it somewhat pointless. Some issues I have with this drawing. Her clothing is very dark against a dark background. Very little contrast in the face area, and can't be changed because I'm trying to keep the original colors. Her irises are gold, but again, contrasts very badly with her skin and hair. Readability is pretty low in general because of all of that and just the body stance. Second part will be a side view animation I suppose.

May do one of these next. FF16 isn't known for its heaps of sprites to use so may have to get creative with that one.

Fixing old drawings 1

It seems I got smarter at some point. 1. Upper body and shoulders were absurd. Made it much smaller and more feminine. 2. When in doubt always shrink the torso and grow the lower body. 3. I remember being worried about flat colors on the legs, but they're simply superior, with the color palette I'm given. Changed weird and meaningless shading from the legs. 4. It was the animations of the arcade in Mother 2, even though that girl is clearly 18! Guess I won't make such things in the future. Finally getting some free time again. Hope to get a lot of work done soon. For the upcoming animations, I've had to create Sami from scratch... I figure there's two ways to draw her. 1) Skinny, more how she looks on the right 2) A bit bulkier to match the soldiers. For now, I'm trying 1) skinny. For instance, compared to the baggy pants of the soldiers and the size of their torsos, she is quite small.

Some games I would like to make authentic animation for (but would probably be too much work)

Even for the original FF7, the tools for ripping animations and such are not very good, and I doubt any exist for Vagrant Story or any other game that's less popular. Also, I'm only interested in the original, authentic look of each game, so not interested in any updated high-polygon models. Still really busy and haven't gotten to work much on any animations for about a week now.
