FREE | Utility Node Pack
Here are a couple of my personal utility nodes for free.
The first one is a Low passing node that adds a few steps of blurring. It's doing something similar to Crazy Bump, where it invents shaping based on your input by blurring with different intensities.
The other node is a speckles node that adds directional normal map noise. I use it when creating grainy materials like snow, sand, etc.
Included are two 16-bit sbsar nodes.
Enjoy!

This is one of the tips I gave during my GDC2018 presentations. I use this setup whenever I create a new Substance.
It keeps me focused on the height information only without getting distracted by the diffuse. This is nothing fancy and can easily be recreated by anyone, but since I get questions about my workflow, I decided to make this available here.
Put this file in wherever you have Designer installed, in my case here:

Decided to create my own version of a custom directional warp node I use all the time.
With this node you can directionally warp your shapes without pushing the shapes off screen - they will always remain at origin. You have options for how many directions you want to warp in, intensity and you can set a the base warp direction.
