I have been doing a lot more digital sketching recently and wanted to recreate my favourite pens in Procreate. My goal was to make them as fun and expressive to draw with digitally as they are in real life. They are;

For best results I'd recommend using the ABT brush on 80-90% opacity...

I was messing around with some photographs of the ground that I took a while ago (I know i'm cool) in Procreate's brush engine and they ended up morphing into these chalky brushes. The pack includes 5 brushes of varying texture as well as a palette of colours inspired by a packet of my first chalks I saw in an art shop.

Fancied making my own pencil brush and here we are. I created the marks for the shape source with some black paint applied with stiff card. The grain texture is the inside of a cereal box.
I also played around with some slightly different settings and created a more subtle version (Josh's Pencil 2).

Another tattoo inspired pack, this time trying to capture the effect of colouring pencils on Arches paper. All the marks for these brushes were made on Arches cold press watercolour paper with Faber Castell Polychromos colouring pencils. The pack includes 3 intensities of shader, a pencil brush and an Arches texture brush. I have also included a high resolution scan of some of the watercolour paper to use as a background texture.
Stipple time. I was using this technique in a painting recently and thought it would be fun to have a quick digital version to play with. The marks for these brushes were all hand made with ink on paper for some analogue goodness. The pack includes 8 easy stipplers, 2 inky liners and one precision stippler.
Inspired by some Images of early computer video games and my first forays into digital art being MS paint. These 8 Bit (heh, yeah I made 8 brushes so I could make that joke) brushes offer crunchy, downsampled digital vibes.
