According to Niji Journey, the “Expressive Style” is for creating anime with a more mature and western aesthetic. This new style offers:

1. A more realistic eye style;

2. Natural skin appearance;

3. Well-placed ambient occlusion for weight and;

4. High chroma for a rich, warm look in the artwork.
