3.1.2 Installation Troubleshooting Guide

Installation Instructions

  1. Unzip the installer package you downloaded.

  2. Click on the installation folder for your Operating System.

  3. If you are using a Mac, you will have received a .PKG file to install with.

  4. If you are on a PC, you will have received a .EXE file for installation.

  5. Double click the appropriate installer file.

  6. After the installer opens, follow the instructions on the screen.

  7. Once the installation is complete, restart Illustrator.

  8. Find the extension by going to Window > Extensions.

Special Windows Instructions

Windows may show a security warning when you attempt to Install Logo Package Express. Please click "More info" and then click "Run anyway."

Installation with ZXP if Installer Method Fails

Please download Anastasiy's Extension Manager.

Use the extension manager to install the ZXP files included with your download.

Here is how to use the extension manager.

  1. Open the extension manager

  2. Select Illustrator from the right sidebar

  3. Click any Logo Package extensions listed on the right and then click "Remove"

  4. Click install at the top of the sidebar

  5. Choose the ZXP and click open

Mac Instructions

  1. Quit Adobe Illustrator

  2. Find the folders called "com.logopackage.express3" and "com/logopackage.portal" in the same folder as this guide

  3. Open a new Finder window (in addition to the window with the unzipped folder) and use the keyboard shortcut "Shift + Command + G"

  4. Paste the following path into the go field /Library/Application Support/Adobe/CEP/extensions and press return

  5. Copy the folders "com.logopackage.express3" and "com.logopackage.portal" into the extensions folder you just navigated to

  6. Enter your system password when prompted

  7. Open Illustrator

  8. Go to Window > Extensions > Logo Package Express

If you do not see the extension, restart Illustrator.

If you still do not see the extension contact support by emailing michael@logopackage.com.

Windows Instructions

  1. Quit Adobe Illustrator

  2. Open a new File Explorer window (in addition to the window with the unzipped folder)

  3. Paste the following path into the address bar C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\CEP\extensions and press enter

  4. Copy the folders "com.logopackage.express3" and "com.logopackage.portal" into the extensions folder you just navigated to

  5. Open Illustrator

  6. Go to Window > Extensions > Logo Package Express

  7. If you do not see the extension, restart Illustrator.
