No brains today, had a pretty long evening and now I'm rather sleepy! So uh... just enjoy this shot of Colette. I was doing some different shading again. I'll explain it some more later but I rather like how it looks here.

Just a few random sketches. Sorry there aren't a lot of super ambitious pieces for this week. I drew these all last week and it was a busy one for the comic and just doing life stuff. I might even have another busy one this week, as I wanna start clearing out stuff like... taxes and whatever. Whew boy... I just wanna go back to sleep sometimes.

The new changes to Patreon's rules have definitely given me some agita. But like... I guess I've always been a little careful about what I post here. I'm never super explicit, either. And I think if anything, the stuff I post that's exclusive to Patreon will emphasize that the characters are up for it. I'm pretty sure this version of Cass enjoys this kinda thing by now. It makes for good training.

Punk Phase

I was just drawing a punky outfit but now I realize this could be that Dr Liang character but sometime in the early to late 2000s. She could've always had a rebellious streak and maybe she keeps this outfit somewhere in her collection. Not sure if this'll factor into her work at all, though...

A Lovely Princess

Ya know, despite the fact that I play Time Princess pretty much daily, I don't draw a lot of characters in dresses, let alone princess dresses. Maybe that's something I can do occasionally, now and then. But I just don't have the best fashion sense for that sorta thing.

Still, I rather liked how this came out. It was a good excuse to play with materials and sparkling lights and stuff. And I hope whoever Isabelle is dancing with tonight is happy.

Psu's Thoughts on New Patreon Guidelines

This isn't really fun for me to type, but I needed to talk about the upcoming changes to Patreon (and other sites like Gumroad) and how that'll affect my content here. For the most part, I'm a very careful person when it comes to posting adult content. I'm generally really shy about it anyway and go out of my way to fudge it. That said, I am aware that what I do have can sometimes be in the grey area of allowed content.

I was drawing from some photo references shared over Discord. I always talk about doing more of it but don't always act on it. The big thing here was doing a pose that was significantly more complicated and unusual than other drawings. It's not as easy as just drawing someone upside down! You have to make sure the weight looks right, and her feet on the wall have to look believable.

Just some loose, unfinished sketches. I have the beginning of a Taki drawing there, but I'm not too satisfied with where it's going, and I might do a totally different pose for her. I also have that Bulma started, but I realized I probably couldn't do that Akira Toriyama bike justice. At least, not without investing significant time away from other stuff. Bikes are hard!

Colette + Extra Scars

Well, technically, there aren't more scars than usual. But the lighting on this one makes the scars look a little more intense. Anyway, I think it's a good idea to bring back more Colette pics. Warning Signs

Oh, don't mind me. I'm just being a little silly with this one. I started by drawing a cute pose, and then I had the idea to add the text. It just seemed to give the image a little more character, ya know?

That said, in my drawings of her, Yas has had a lot of experience evading dinosaurs. (Sometimes not very well...) It might be fun to do a little series where she shares helpful tips and points out things the movies got wrong. For the record, it is believed the T-rex has very good eyes...

Windy today

It's just a sketch of Talim from Soul Calibur. I'm kinda thinking I might draw all my favorite fighting game characters. Not all at once, mind you. Just draw one or two of them when I decide to make the time. It's fun!

It's been a bit since I drew Ashley, and I figured it'd be nice to give her some pleasant time to herself back in Hawaii. She deserves a treat! Plus, getting to be on your own can let you be a little bit more of yourself. At least, that's how I think of it, anyway.

I just thought I'd start this week by posting a Tifa. I'm pretty certain a bunch of you guys are playing the second part of the Final Fantasy 7 remake, which looks excellent. But I haven't rushed out to get it myself. I currently still haven't beaten part one of the remake! I thought the game was great! 25 Years of Cass

I've had this illustration on the backburner for a LONG while now. Originally it was a sketch I made for a "Batgirls" zine that I was a part of. But I did a different illustration for that one instead. This one came out nicer, I think. But it took way more time to complete.

The idea was to have a bunch of different versions of Cassandra Cain in one cover. Original Cass Batgirl. Shadow of the Batgirl. Black Bat. Orphan. And even BoP Movie Cass.

Another sketch that got the color treatment! I remembered how much I enjoyed the sketch and generally I like drawing Alex from Totally Spies anyway. Figured it would make the shine look even nicer.

Mornin, Rose (pinup)

I went ahead and colored this old sketch. Why not? I really liked the shape of her figure here, and the expression was a lot of fun. It seemed like the perfect opportunity to color a picture.

I haven't done that thing where I propose coloring a sketch I did earlier, and you guys vote for which one I do. I still think it's a good way to get patrons involved in more art and sketches. Plus, I love knowing which pieces you guys like. But setting up a poll can be a bunch of work.

Time Princess continues to have its hooks in me but I admit I can see myself reducing my time on the game. I have a lot of other games to play too! But even if it were the case that I end up playing Time Princess less, it's still going to be a source of really fun Isabelle outfits in the future.

If you guys remember that 100 character thing, one of them was this creepy lady with mantis blade arms. I'm thinking she's going to be a character in the SAFE universe, but she's decidedly one of the completely unsafe entities that the organization has locked down.

I'm not sure what to do with her yet, but I'm pretttttty sure she's why Nathan is missing an arm and an eye.

Making a Scene!

Hey, it's those Game Gyaru again! (Do I have to explain who they are again? I'm not sure if I do...)

Anyway, I got roped into doing a piece for an upcoming fanzine featuring the Game Gyaru characters, and this is the piece that came to mind. It's a little ambitious, though... if I learned anything about drawing Cassiopeia Quinn, it's that I should really try to simplify any bike that people are going to be driving through glass ceilings.

A real Homebody

If you're one of the ten or so people that follow my video game streams, then you might have seen me play this horror game called Homebody. I thought it was a very good one, easily worth your time if you're a fan of puzzles, escape rooms, and Clock Tower type horror.

Oh Ivy...

With Tekken 8 out to rave reviews and sales, a number of people started talking about Namco's other beloved fighting game franchise. I do hope it makes a return again in the future, but well... we can't win it all.

In the meantime, I'll just have to draw my own Ivy and Taki and Talim and Seong-Minas and all the rest. It's probably one of my favorite cast of characters in fighting games and it would be a shame to just leave them all behind.

Another new outfit, Yaz?

Just something else I picked up while looking around on pinterest for some inspiration. Decided to try a new outfit on Yaz, why not?

But... if you've been around me long enough, coming up with a new outfit for a character I draw from fan art is the first step to me starting to think... "what if I just made a new character so I don't have to feel all this agita about being weird with fan art?" And I'm like... that doesn't sound bad. But then how would I get to involve all those dinosaur...
