I'm so excited to share this!
This is a fully recorded-for-distribution video class on some really foundational, effective techniques for erotic hypnosis and NLP. It is about an hour long and covers topics like:
- Yes sets: the classic idea as well as expanding them to be more useful
- Pacing and leading: one of the most important parts of NLP that teaches you how to easily improvise trances and build strong rapport
- Linguistic ambiguity: being vague in such a way tha...

I have been thinking for some time now about the parallels between the way that I practice hypnosis and the way that I have practiced different elements of magic. I’ve talked before about the role of ritual and symbolism in both -- the way that we assign power to concepts behind words, through metaphor and allegory. The motivations of seeking power or play. Even for someone like me, who does not really believe in a magical power greater than myself, magical ritual is rich with expressive po...

Metaphors: Part One by sleepingirl
Metaphors are an oft-discussed part of language. They are an important device in creative writing, and we often talk about how they can fall under the category of Ericksonian techniques in hypnosis. We might think about using different metaphors to induce trance, and the way that people process them hypnotically. But it is just as hypnotically useful to explore how they function in our communication and lives and how that affects the w...

Brainwashing to Reduce Hypnotic Agency by sleepingirl
The Brainwashing Book was a discussion of how to use operant and classical conditioning in order to make long-term practical changes in a hypnotic relationship (as well as improve our understanding of hypnosis as a whole). It is very much through the lens of behaviorism, because I felt that associative learning and conditioning are necessary concepts to grasp in order to comprehend what we do in general hypnosis and ...

Hypnotic Presuppositions by sleepingirl
There are a number of language tricks that NLP outlines in its Milton Model -- the patterns that it asserts Erickson used in his hypnosis. Presuppositions are one of the most well-known and well-used examples, both in NLP and hypnosis as a whole. Let’s take a look at what a presupposition is, how it can be used, and how to find ways to get into good language patterns to take advantage of them in our play.
What is a...

In case you didn't see on Fetlife or Twitter, the class that I mentioned in the last post (Rope&Hypnosis with me and cc) is unfortunately postponed -- we have a family emergency. The podcast is already recorded and everything else should be on schedule. Sorry everyone -- we'll reschedule ASAP.

Hey everyone! What a week... also month... also year...
I wanted to reach out and let you all know the planned schedules for the podcast, writings, and other content! Stuff got really woogedy between me being sick for a week or two and us teaching and preparing for classes.
Firstly, the current schedule is: this coming Friday is podcast day, and the week after is an article/writing! We will get After Hours stuff up ASAP in that timeframe!
Secondly, cc and I ...

MCStories are one of the cornerstones of how we as hypnokinksters engage with erotic content. For many of us, they were the first or primary way that we found our fetish even had others creating for it. “MCStory” used here is a proprietary eponym, kind of like “Kleenex” -- it’s generally how we refer to written hypnofetish or mind control fetish erotica because of the ubiquity of mcstories.com in our general kink consciousness. In this article, I’m going to talk a little bit from ...

Hey everyone! If you follow me on Twitter you probably know that last week I was REALLY sick (some kind of awful stomach bug, ugh) which made me have to put everything on hold until I felt better. I'm almost at 100% now (yay!) so basically everything got pushed up a week -- next Friday will be the article (the poll for it is up now for $9 Patrons!) and After Hours should come sometime in the next week.
Thanks everyone who wished me well and can't wait to get back into the swing of thing...

Tag Questions by sleepingirl
There are many different distinct language patterns that we come across when we’re looking into hypnosis and NLP. The Milton Model of NLP especially tries to distill patterns from how Erickson talked and tranced. One of the most commonly adapted techniques is the idea of “tag questions” -- turning a suggestive statement into a question. We as hypnotists often do this intuitively, whether we are parroting it from others or ...

Hey everyone! We finally got through the overview of the Milton Model! WHEW! We're doing something a little differently for next article -- a poll is already up for $9 Patrons with topics to vote on. If anyone has anything they'd like to suggest in terms of topic, whether it's an expansion on something, a personal essay, or anything else, please leave your suggestions here or DM me anywhere! Suggested topics will go up against the winning topic from the poll (and I will keep them in a l...

In parts one and two of this series of articles, we explored a foundation to where the Milton Model of NLP came from as well as some useful background knowledge to better understand the way it approaches hypnosis. NLP looks at its methods from a linguistic lens that can often be fairly convoluted, including grammar diagrams and obtuse discussions of language that may or may not hold up when studied with a critical eye. This can be fairly prohibitive of understanding its core methods, especial...

I was fairly obsessed with magic as a child. I grew up in a secular household -- my mother’s side was mixed Christian but she didn’t inherit the beliefs and my father’s side was Jewish but not observant. We did Christmas and Chanukah and Easter for a little while but just as a cultural practice; we never went to church or synagogue and we never even had conversations about God.
I liked fantasy novels a lot, and I liked Harry Potter, and for a bit of time around age 8 I was making ...

Hi everyone! Hope you're all doing well!
I've been feeling out my new schedule for the last few months since I've been focused on creating content, and I'm feeling pretty comfortable, so I'd like to expand and do a little bit more! Probably something once per month, but the question is, what?
Folks on Twitter were suggesting stuff like me doing audio recordings of my written content so they could process it on-the-go or without reading (could be articles or erotica!), others said ...

In part one of this series of essays, we gave an introduction to how the Milton Model came about and some of the basics of its key topics. It’s important to remember that these essays are not a 1:1 look at NLP -- moreso, they are a way to view its practices in a more sensical way that fits with the lens that we look through as hypnokinksters. There will always be some debunking and some ignoring of erroneous or questionable content, but the main goal will always be to give a perspective on ...

The Milton Model: Part One by sleepingirl
Neurolinguistic Programming has a certain connotation, especially within the hypnokink community. We think of a particularly conversational or sneaky method of inducing trance, dependent on certain linguistic patterns and potentially relying on some form of coercion. It should be clear that this concept of NLP is a distorted one (further distorted by some NLP practitioners themselves who have gone the route of emphasizing sales ...

In hypnokink play, we often have fantasies that we seek, whether that comes from media or porn or personal desires that we have discovered on our journeys. In “The Brainwashing Book,” we went over a lot about scene-building and how imaginative fantasies can be metaphorical for change and play. In this writing, we’ll be looking from an adjacent angle about what it takes to pursue certain fantasies and how they connect with reality.
What is Fantasy?
“Fantasy...

The Meta Model of NLP was first formally introduced in 1975, before the term “Neuro Linguistic Programming” even existed. As we’ve discussed, NLP has evolved in a fairly complicated way over the years, contributed to by many practitioners with many different perspectives. As it became more clear that the Meta Model was just the foundations of the practice, not the whole, what happened to it? Did it change, or become expanded?
It’s impossible to fully categorize exactly what the ...

How I’ve (Been) Changed Through Brainwashing by sleepingirl
As a content warning and as perspective, my relationship with MrDream fetishizes fantasies of abuse, victimization, and control. We play with a sort of nebulous blanket consent and our relationship is based on consensual nonconsent. Keep that in mind with this piece.

This is a special hypnosis recording I did for reaching my 100-Patron milestone. It's my usual conversational hypnosis and it's all about the idea of patterns. It is not explicitly erotic or gendered in any way, although hypnofetishists may find it exciting by nature of it being hypnotic. There is mild D/s mention about me having power and discussing the idea of natural change and learning about trance. Thank you very much for supporting me in my journey so far, everyone, it means a lot to me...

The Meta Model is the early foundation of Neuro Linguistic Programming; it was the starting point for everything that would come after. To understand NLP (and by extension, much of our hypnosis, as the community utilizes many parts of it), we must first understand the Meta Model. It is a bit difficult to summarize concisely, but one way of explaining it might be that it is a framework of how to linguistically analyze the communication of other people, find out what they aren’t saying and wh...
