The ship's on autopilot. The robots are hidden away in a small room. Everyone else is put on hibernation...except Rak. As the ship flies towards a worm hole (unseen here but will be put in during the coloring stage) a small vessel is seen taking flight back to the corrupted space station.
Rak must have stayed behind and Timbo is not abandoning him.

It's no surprise that Paul reappears in The Final Dragon considering it was hinted he knows Wizard and Sansregret (back when they lived in the Capitol together). We're also going to be introduced properly to his employer, but that's a post for another day...

After the fiasco last year with Patreon I admit I am investigating alternate methods for reader support. Top on my list is Kickstarter's "Drip", but it's not past the beta stage yet. For now Patreon it is!
