Quick Update

Don’t worry, things are still coming along. Page 6 is well underway. I just have to finish the rendering and work on the final text. But Yesterday, I had trouble concentrating and went for a short walk to help me get back in the zone… And I just keep walking and walking. (It's the first time I could do something like that since my injuries, 5 years ago) I came back hours laters :P oups!

I’ll try to finish this over the weekend.

Weekly Update

Last week got derailed big time.

Finally got my date for the surgery, it's in 20 days and I had to start the liquid diet rather quickly... no "last meal" for me : P

I was really tired in the first few days. It has nothing to do with the diet. I just keep being awaken but people so I didn't sleep much until yesterday.

The diet was hard for the first two days until I realized I was still supposed to eat some vegetables. Yesterday was a lot easier. 20 days to go.

Quick Update

I just got woken up by a call from the hospital.

I have a date for my surgery... in a little less than a month and gotta start my liquid diet TODAY!!! This is great news... but this is also slightly worrying. This diet bein hypocaloric, I have NO idea what my energy levels are gonna be during this time.

Rest assured, we will get through this. I still intend to complete the issue as fast as possible. But things might slow down for a few weeks.

First, Thank you SO MUCH for you kind words last week. I'm feeling better. I haven't had any panic attack this week. Even if I had really mild adrenaline rushes for no reason at the start of it, it didn't translate to a full on attack. And it's been a few days since the last one. I have no idea if this makes sense or not, but these felt like aftershocks from the major one on Friday 8th, getting smaller and smaller until it was finally over.

Quick Update

How are you doing my beautiful people?

Here's a quick update about this week so far. I've been working on page two and it's looking good. But I had to slow things down a bit because of the anxiety attacks I had lately.

Yes, I've seen my doctor on Tuesday. She confirmed what I already knew, prescribed me a few pills to take if I ever get another attack lasting more than an hour. And gave a bunch of tools to learn how to deal with it by myself. We have scheduled a follow up in 3 mon...

Weekly Update

This might sound familiar but... I had a great week and a rough weekend.

Production wise, I couldn't be happier. I finished the layouts on Monday (2 days earlier than expected), on Tuesday I posted the cover and the first page on Thursday. On Friday I rewrote my script for the last time, added 3 pages to the book and reworked the layout on 5 pages to make it fit. That, my friends, is a hell of a week.

It's on the personal stuff that things went sideways. My step-dad finally return...

Of course, he pointed out to many problems with it, destroying my ego and making very good points at the same time :P and I'll have to rethink some of it, but I'm keeping most of it intact. Tomorrow I'll do a final, rewrite and see where the layout will be affected.

I'm on a roll !

Monday I managed to lay out all the remaining pages!!! That was a long day, but I had a lot of energy apparently : P

and Yesterday I drew and colored the cover. I was thinking I'd wait for the first page to be ready before posting it... but what the hell.

Regarding piracy... I know someone will post this somewhere else. There's no way for me to stop that. And to be honest, I downloaded enough games and series to feel that I'd be a complete hypocrite to start ...

Workwise, I'm very please. As I mentioned last time, I laid out 9 pages and the cover for the next comic. When I'm on a roll, I can usually lay out around 3 pages a day. This kind of work takes a lot of my creative juice so I can't only do this full time. Character Design

Been hard at work on the new comic. So far I have 3 pages and the cover researched and laid out. This is slightly boring and takes a lot out of me. It's like planning several pictures for each page but harder since they have to fit together and clearly tell the story.

This is it: The last day of my "vacation." I still managed to produced two pics, but it was fun to draw just because I felt like it and not put myself under the pressure to publish something.

I went to the theatre to watch "Mission Impossible" (not disappointed). I've finished "Venture Bros". Started the season 3 of "Warriors" (I ADORE that show). Watched the two episodes of "Ashoka" (middle of the road so far). Started the DLC of "Maneater" ...

I always had a thing for Jennifer ( both version ) and someday I'll draw the future thugs gang bang I always wanted to see, but I had to start with this: Young Laurraine and a DeLorean (I've spent way too much time on the car :P )

Working on the "Hackers" picture last weekend, my mind quickly went to one of my other favorite movie from that era. I remember watching that movie in the theater. It is the closet I ever got to have a full theater room all to my self. The last trailer had just finished when two other dudes walked in... SO CLOSE!

But the movie wasn't a disappointment. A complete deconstruction of super heroes movies before super heroes movies where a thing. Funny as hell. I just love it.
