How are you doing my beautiful people?

I'm actually pretty good. Getting over my cat's death. Eventhogh I could a swear that I heard him miaowing a few days ago while I was taking a shower :P Sometime I kindda forget that he's not here anymore. But other than that, the moral is good.

Here's something a bit different. The layout took me a bit of time to get right but I'm pretty happy with the final result. Why is the Handmaiden looking like Emma Watson you asked? That was what the commissioner requested. At first I tried to be more subtle about it, but in the end I recreated her likeness based on a picture from a red-carpet event. It was more satisfying this way.

That was a fun one. I was slightly intimidated. The difference of proportions simply eliminated the use of reference pictures. But with a bit of planing, I think I did really good here.

Weekly Update

How are you doing you beautiful people?

I'm all right, now, but I had a rough weekend. I had to put my cat to sleep. He had a tumor as big as his head in the belly ( I don't know what it was attached to ) and water in it's lungs. He would have died painfully in a couple of days/weeks. 

I won't lie... I cried more for that cat than I did for my father last year. It kinda took me by surprise.

I'm quite good actually. I saw part of my families for Easter, which mean: people I had not seen in two years and others I had only seen during funerals. It's was nice to finally seen them in a fun social setting. They might be called FUNerals, they are anything but :P

My fake Spawn vs Batman Comic, final page

Much better time for this one. 22h instead of 36. Fewer cells helped of course, but even with the same number, I think I would have been faster on this one.

Pretty happy with the speed effect here. I even considered going back on page 2 and redo the chains that way... but then I realised that, I had to move on at some point. this is a demo, not a paying gig.

I'm ok...

I'm about to start working on that last page for my fake comic, and I'm honestly bummed out. Those are taking way too long. And I cannot envision a company that would alloy a pace of 1 page a week. I'll still finish it. My portfolio needed an update anyway. And I'll still throw my hat in the mix for the job. But I doubt that it is for me right now.

Also, I enjoy way too much doing my own thing.

Weekly Update

How are you doing beautiful people? I'm fine. Been hard at work on my portfolio. Pretty happy with how it came out, but I'm slightly worried that I might have gone overboard with the shadows. It's not my usual style and it take so much more time. But it fit the tone of these two characters ( Spawn Vs Batman ) and I think the result looks great.

I still have 2 pages to go. But I needed to take the weekend off, my eyes and hands where killing me.

I almost forgot my weekly update. The reason is simple, I kept working this weekend.

I'm taking a small break of NSFW stuff. About a week, I need this time to put toghetter a good demo package for a possible interview.

I already told you about this possibility. I just can't ignore it. Not because of the money (although it would be good ) but because it's the kind of thing I always dreamt of.

I didn't know anything about that sci-fi series before I got commissioned for this piece. I'm curious to give it a try now. The story reminds me a lot of "Detroit, Become Human", one of my favorite game of all time (I literally fell in love with the hostess in the menu :P). For that reason, I particularly obsessed with the likeness of the characters here. I think I did a good job. It is a nice piece.

Another moody piece with a smoky atmosphere. It feels like that's a theme for this batch of commissions.

Setting it in the upside down was a challenge. I needed it to be dark and blue, but sex is a lot more interesting in full colors, so I needed to find the balance here.

I made a mistake last Monday: I watched Encanto.
