Since you guys seemed to enjoy it yesterday, here’s the second background for the main part of this issue. It’s a close up on the booth you could see in the back of the main floor. Since I already had a smaller shot of it, and it’s symmetrical, drawing it went very quickly.
Now I need a reverse shot of that main floor looking from the booth toward the stage. Sometime I think I should just learn 3D :P

This is what I did for you today :)
I have a few of these backgrounds to design for this particular issue. And sometime, like in most Star Wars book, I can reuse them for most of the issue. Other, like in the X-Men book, I end up having to redraw the background again and again because the original don't exactly fit my needs. In any case this original drawing is always super important and very helpful for the whole book.

I know, I know, I said I’d only post on Wednesday… but I got better and page 001 went as a breeze. I was almost ready to post it last night when I realised I forgot to send the text to Ferawyn :P
I’m still struggling with the layouts. I wanted to layout the whole book first, that is what I did with Tracy’s latest comic and it worked so well and so fast… but hey, I told myself, Maybe I can keep working by small chapter for this series. Why fix it when is not broken, right...

So... I had planed more Pinups this week, but woke up Thursday completely exhausted. Not surprising considering I had not take a brake more than a day or so here and there since June to complete the X-Men comic, get through a way too big commission’s list and draw a whole Comic for Tracy Scops. Even last weekend, I ended up working on the last page of Tracy’s book and the Supergirl pinup. So yeah, I was due for a few days off, and my body didn’t leave me any choice in the matter.

Hello beautiful people!
I had another good productive week. Drew 4 pages for Tracy’s book. I haven’t done the research and layout for the remaining ones yet, but with only 3 left to go, I think it’s a safe bet to say that it will be completed on time ^^
I’m also working on a new pinup for you guys… featuring one of my biggest childhood crush ever. I’m sure you’ll love it!
I hope to post it tomorrow... but it's time for a little brake now.

I use to play A LOT of guitar Hero II. I was terrible at it, I don’t think I ever managed to use the 5 keys, but not for the lack of trying, and I just always LOVE ranking up the Star Power. So cool!

Hey guys! How are you doing?
I had quite a productive week.
First I finished the Jayce and the Wheeled Warriors pinup, than rewrote the script for the book I’m working on with Tracy; She wrote the story, but I had a problem with the flow so I offered a solution, she liked it, I did a pass on it, she did a final pass mostly to change some dialogues and now I think we have a hell of a great book on our hand. I also drew the cover AND the first page, prepared, researched and layed out...

I was EXTREMELY pleased with the linework on this one. I thought I’d nailed Katee Sackhoff’s look… but somehow, I lost her in the colors. Light effects can drastically change a character’s morphology.
I still like this pic quit a lot ^^
