A new week, a new update…
That was supposed to be a day off, but I was bored so I did a LIVESTREAM while I was applying the flat colors on the new page. It’s been years since I did that, but that was fun and I think I’m going to do it as a regular feature.

Yesterday morning, page 07 was laid out as 4 cell forming a big X and look pretty simple to draw. It ended up with 13 cells. That’s the kind of twists and turns this story is leading me through, and I love it!
I have something scheduled online with a bunch of friends this weekend.
I’ll be working on the colors Monday... but due to the shere number of cells, I doubt I'll be able to release it before Tuesday.

One of the things I LOVE about my way of doing things is that, sometime, I get surprised by my own stories… Working with Ferawyn on the dialogues only re-enforce what is happening right now: This story is making its own paths at the moment, and I just have to go with it :P
It’s not taking a left turn. It is still going in the same direction as it always had, but I can definitely say that page 8 won’t be the one I designed last week, and the ending won’t be the one I have scripte...

I’ve been making a few changes to the story. So far into the story, I should have center on Emma and Jean by now ( hence the tags ) but I realized that I like this 2 levels approached and it fit the story I wanted to tell. So there will be a lot more about the secondary characters that was scripted.

I’m a bit at loss for words today. Rather tired, but have a pretty good reason for it. I basically covered 2 / 3 days of works yesterday when I managed to do the colors on page 4 and do the detailed layout for pages 5 to 8! This allowed me to complete the livework on page 05 today!
I’m not promising to release it tomorrow, but I’ll sure give it my best shot.

How are you guys doing?
So last week, I did not manage to do everything I was hoping for, to be fair, It was a pretty ambitious schedule :P but here is what I did manage to do:
- Rough sketch the entire X-Men comic
- Do the layout, detailed sketched and research for page 2-3 and 4
- Completed and posted page 3
- Completed the line work and flat colors for page 4
- And finally completed and posted the Where’s Waldo pic created as a celebration for reaching...

Well, I tried…
But I didn’t manage to complete a 2nd page before the end of the week. This comic is pretty busy. The plan was to center on Jean and Emma, but it looks from the sketches that I’ll have a lot more of the other characters in it than I was envisioning. I even made some last minutes changes on that page yesterday and ended up adding even more characters :P
But things are going great, I think I’m doing some of my best work ever ( I know I say that all the time), ...

Hey guys how are you doing?
I’m pretty good al thing considered. And I consider myself pretty lucky.
Had quite a scare on Friday night when my dad had to be hospitalized for the night. As you guys know he has stage 4 lungs cancer. And suddenly he became feverish and very confused. I’ll be honest guys, I thought that was it. But apparently he got better over night and is back in his home with his wife.
As for my production. Only managing one page out of 10 on the new book last...
