I'm great. A little tired this morning, but nothing a coffee won't fix.

I'm pretty happy with last week's performance. I achieved all my goals. The red Sonja pic turned out gorgeous. I'm also delighted with my Christmas card this year, and I managed to add a few more element to the Car Wash.

Sexy Cartoon Carwash #032

A bunch of new elements for the Cartoon Carwash.

Asterix is my absolute favorite comic book series. I learned to draw copying Uderzo's work. I have all of the main collection. I'm trying hard to find some of the secondary titles that aren't published anymore (pretty hard to do in Quebec), and I adore (almost) all the animated movies. So this was a no brainer :P

I still have 4 characters to colors, but I think that's going to be it for today. It's the weekend, and I had a long week...

Back in 2013, I drew this little piece.

While I adored the concept, I was never entirely satisfied with the execution and decided to redraw it as my Christmas card this year, and the evolution is speaking volumes. I'll release it on the 23rd, the day I'll be leaving for my own vacations.

Ok... back to the cartoon car wash now.

Weekly Update

How are you doing my beautiful people?

I'm good. Just woke up, not even had breakfast or coffee yet, so my thoughts aren't exactly sharp at the moment, but I feel great.

I had a good week. Achieved all my goals, including in terms of exercise. Turns out, I prefer wearing layers and layers of clothing to hike in the cold outside rather than doing it on the treadmill in my living room. I also had a little bit of social interactions. Sexy Cartoon Carwash #030

Here's the latest addition to the cartoon Car Wash.

I still have difficulty to believe the design of Hannah Dunndee made it on Saturday morning TV. She is probably the purely sexiest Saturday morning cartoon character ever design. Second only to Helga Sinclair from Disney's Atlantis.

Anyway... More elements are in preparation, but I have something planed the afternoon so... I gotta go ^^

Weekly Update

How are you doing my beautiful people?

Some mornings are harder than others. So I waited a bit before writhing this just, so I'd be coherent.

Not that I have anything important to say this morning. The whole week was all about work, with just a little bit of socialization (that was fun).

Healthwise, everything is great. I re-adjusted my protein intake ( I had a bit over corrected and was actually gaining weight ) and so far I am very happy with the result. I have all my ener...

I was a little short of time for a second pic this week so I went simple.

I always LOVED Delilah's design. It is PEEK 90's, but in a good way ( the 90's where terrible, design wise, although cartoon where lucky compared to comics. ) At the time, the joke was that Elisa wear that jacket way too much if it ended up in her DNA.

Weekly Update

I'm doing great.

So... I finally finished the latest commission. Sadly, I can't post it here, but you guys should know how to find it by now.

6 days on a single picture is way too long. I had actually turned down the first proposition of this picture and negotiated a less crowded version, but I got carried away and just kept adding stuff.

Let's just say, I did not make any profit on this one. But that's ok... you all make it possible...

Still working on the commission. It's a massive one and because I am who I am, I kept raising the stake and adding stuff.

So yeah... I am massively behind schedule on this one. Not helping that Monday was a bust and I couldn't draw for shit. Right now, It's looking great, but I still need at least a day for the colors.

I lost count of the number of characters quite a while ago... I'm NOT looking forwards to counting and referencing them all :P but I'm still pretty much in love with this projects even if I gotta admit, I'm starting to struggle to find new things to draw. I might have to take a few weeks off that project to take the time to replenish my imagination reserve.

Yesterday was a good day.

1rst, I made a small correction to last week's commission, which I posted right after delivering it to the commissioner.

Then I did the researches for this week's commissions. It's going to be a fun one, but when came the time to start working on it, I realized that I wasn't ready...Sometime I need to let it sit un my brain for a day or two. So I prepared the file for the next batch of elements for the Cartoon Car Wash instead. I even drew a few ^^

At first, I wasn't sure where I was going with this. Two characters form a 8 or 16 bits game I never heard about. It took a little bit of back and forth with the commissioners for me to understand what they liked and what I should put special attention too.

During my researches, I found that there a hole community around those characters and I hope that they enjoy my little addition.

Weekly Update...I'm still alive.

Damn! This week was a rollercoaster. I hope you are doing fine.

Production wise, I'm not happy. Tuesday's American elections hit me harder than I expected. I'm not going to make this a political post. Let's just say, I'm not on the winner's side and while I was expecting the loss, I wasn't prepared for that kind of extraordinary victory on their part. I was stunned.

Making Of... (part 2) Colors and rendering

This can be use as a quick guide to all my coloring works with only a few minor differences. I usually have a lot more textures to my characters ( but due to the number of characters in this piece, I decided against it unless the said character is usually a high-resolution CGI characters (Gogo and Honey Lemon). This small change also influences how I approach my flats. I usually would not hesitate to color the overlapping section of my flats differently than the final color to help isolating ...

Making Of... Linework

So far, this week's batch of elements is entirely composed of filler elements, so I can inhabit some of the dead space remaining all over the place. And since there's nothing sexy to show you all, I thought that, maybe, you'd be interested to see a little behind the scene making of about how I do things for the Cartoon Car Wash.

Just so you know, we are about 2/3rd in. With only one big section still empty, but with also a bunch of dead space that I'll probably fill up a little more ( although I still want some dead space since it helps the readability of the piece. )

Hello my beautiful people.

I had a good week. Slower than usual, but refreshing.

Although, I did end up in the ER on Friday night. I had a big vertigo episode, My family doctor had asked me check my pressure if this happened again, since she thinks it might be low pressure episodes. But my pressure was through the roof. And other symptoms started to appear. I got scared, and I went to the ER.

I rigorously limited myself to no more than 8h /days, and even those needed a surprising amount of caffeine to get through sometime, bit it has bared fruits: I didn't have any anxiety attack this week and feel a lot better in my head than I had last week.

It's loads better, IMO.

Thank you all for answering the Patreon poll this morning. I went with the majority vote, with a few changes: I added a thong string (nice call) as well as redrew her eye. It's still opened, obviously, but slightly less so... More bedroomy.

And it is on the right layer this time. I'm still not sure how I didn't see the power cable on Friday. But I wasn't exactly myself.

Overall, I think V 2 is a major improvement. but there was something about her original head that worked quite well despite the technical flaws so... what do you all think?
