Quick Update

I'm a bit behind schedule on page 10. For some reason, I was simply exhausted yesterday. I have no idea why, so work went really slowly. Today is better, and I'm almost done with the linework. My hope is to complete the page over the weekend.

As for tonight, I have a friend's birthday party to attend to.

Weekly Update

The weekend feel longer than expected :P
I'm not use to taking more than one day off... So, I decided to go on with my weekly update.

First, let me assure you that I am not in any trouble with Patreon for this one. And I don't think there was anything inherently wrong with the picture. But someone left a comment on the exit survey indicating that it was the reason for their departure, and I quote: "The KimP art is just too creepy man."

At first, I couldn't understand why. It didn't feel any different than any of my other work. But thinking about it tonight, I understoo...

If you've ever asked yourself why I always start with the background, I could give you two reasons. 

First, the background set the mood and it's colors and lights are critical for the character rendering... But the real reason is this: it would be too tempting to cut corners and half ass the background element since drawing the character is where my enjoyment lies.

Weekly Update

How are you doing my beautiful people?

I'm pretty good. My body is responding well to the rise in physical activity. Nothing crazy; just much longer walks and a fun night of dancing, but I'm feeling incredibly good and positive. I finally feel like I am back after a really long 6 years hiatus. And I can't wait for tomorrow night.

Also, I learned that keeping a daylight schedule is pretty easy when you have a good reason to.

Hello, my beautiful people!

I am tired as hell (insomnia last night) but I still forced myself to get on my feet. I could easily sleep till night and work on the night shift for a while but...

Last week, I got the ok from my doctor to get back on the dance floor. I plan to that tomorrow night, and I do not want it to affect my workflow. If I'm on the night shift, that would mean to start the day with the dance session and I doubt I'd be very productive afterward.<...

The process of creation is a roller coaster. I went from loving this, to hating it (I almost discarded it at some point in the coloration.) to loving it once again and being pretty pleased with the final result.

I'm a big fan of Netflix's She-Ra (even if I pray daily that MOTU season 3 bring her back as her classic self), and the dynamic between Catra and Adora is a big reason why.

Thursday was a complete waste.
No cable, no internet.
Turns out, I need it to do my job :P

Rest assure, On Friday, everything was back to normal and I've been hard at work since than. I was hoping to post the new pic tonight, alas, It still need a few hours of work (I spent way too much time on a background that you'll never see), and my plan is to complete it tomorrow (Sunday).

This week promises to be... A LOT for me :P

Tomorrow alone, I have two meetings scheduled with my medical team. The good news is that one is on the phone and the other online so I won't waist time on the road that day. The rest of the week I have a few other littles things spread out, I ABSOLUTELY need to clean the apartment... And there Dune 2.

The week was pretty busy. In fact, I totally lost control of my schedule on Tuesday.

Weekly Update

How are you doing my beautiful people?

I ain't bad at all. The hemorrhoids are almost all gone, and I don't feel them anymore. The stomach feel great. I don't have a cold. I had a fun day yesterday watching a unique play about the lives of 8 or 9 peoples ( I didn't count ) with only one thing in common, they all practice a lost traditional Canadian dance: The Jig.

I never saw a play like this before. It was like a documentary on a scene. Very interesting if just a little too slow...

Apologies

I have to take a few days off (God I'm tired of that phrase). The reason is simple, Hemorrhoids makes it pretty much impossible to sit in front of my computer long enough to produce something. Even the couch is barely tolerable.

I went to the pharmacy yesterday. They gave me a cream. And said to go to my doctor if it's not gone in 7 days. Let's hope it won't take that long.

Weekly Update

Hello my beautiful people.
How are you doing?

I ain't bad. In fact I had a good week. I do have a light health issue, slightly related to my surgery, but it's mild. I'm going through my first Hemorrhoids flair up... And I may tell you something that will surprise you: It's not enjoyable :P 

That said, I passed a few blood tests last Monday, also spoke to my surgeon last Thursday, and she is really please with my healing process. According to her, everything is right on sch...
