The (Surf and) Turf War
I'll share a patron only piece of the next comic chapter shortly. Meanwhile, here are some relatively recent pieces.

If you have an opinion, feel free to pick more than one. I'll just use this to gauge relative interest. (Also, thanks in advance for your input!)
Freckle seems to have stumbled into some kind of troublesome fairytale metaphor. Art from the last livestream.

Hey all,
Doing some live streaming for the few hours on this Tuesday night, if you care to stop by!
I'm at my Twitch Channel.
(I'll squeeze in another stream before the month is out, for those who can't make it to this one!)
Hey, everyone! Hey, new Patrons!
This Patron-exclusive tutorial is from last year, but is presently buried under a pile of more recent postings, so I figured I'd just leave a reminder here of its availability, should it be handy (or hatty) to have.
You can find it here.
There's also a higher resolution PDF of the full tutorial attached to this post. Feel free to d...
The downloadable attachment here is a higher resolution PDF of the wrinkles tutorial.
I hope it proves a little bit useful!
I've had a number of requests over the past while for a guide to drawing clothing wrinkles, and I finally got around to it. It's an expansive topic and I probably only brushed the surface in a lot of areas, but I do hope it's at least useful enough to be worthy of the time it takes to load the image...>_>
If viewing a problem, I'll break this into separate images.
I will also upload a higher resolution downloadable PDF for all $2+ patrons shortly!
Testing out this new gallery post option that allows for multiple images. Been waiting for a long time for this functionality. Hopefully it's nice and user friendly on everyone else's end too.
Anyway, I've got a special thing to share shortly, for Patrons only. Planning to post it Saturday!
Hey all,
I'll be streaming tomorrow, Sunday, July 28th, starting at 5pm CT (6pm ET) at my Twitch Channel.
Mostly, I'll be fleshing out some parts of a fabric/clothing tutorial I plan to share soon. I may work on some reward art as well. Feel free to bring questions if you have them!
Hope to see you there!
Some art I've done over the past while for the Wild West Cat Fanciers group. I've been proud to be able to work with them, not only because they're good people and because Kat's fun to draw, but because they are very excellent to their felines and go out of their way to promote shelter adoptions at their shows too.
Anyway, it's not directly related to Lackadaisy, but I thought some of you might enjoy seeing some of the artwork here.
Many thanks to Non Newtonian for moderating and recording the chat session!
The audio cuts out a bit in places. I do apologize for that. This was a first attempt at a Discord-based voice chat and there are some kinks to iron out. Next time, I'll use the 'push to speak' method to try to mitigate that issue. That aside, I think it went well. Speaking for myself at least, I had a great time! Thank you to everyone who came to ask questions or just to listen!

Hey all,
Tomorrow, Friday the 12th beginning at 7pm CT (8pm Eastern) there'll be a live chat at the Lackadaisy Discord. I'll be taking questions, talking about the comic and some upcoming stuff.
This one'll be a little different as I'll be chatting with you from an audio channel instead of typing at you. You can leave questions for me in the
Okay, here's that comic update (many of you had a preview of the top portion). Pardon the excessive size. I felt it best from a storytelling standpoint to treat this as one piece. I do apologize if it that poses a technical problem, though, if you're trying to view this on a mobile device.
It's here on the web site too, though, and I will shortly put up a mobile-friendly version at...
Hey everyone,
Mostly just posting to say the comic will update tomorrow! So close to finished, but I need to give my achy hand a break for a few hours.
Streaming live now!

Hey all,
I'll be streaming tomorrow, Friday, June 28th, starting at 3pm CST (4pm EST) and lasting until I'm out of...stream juice?
I'll be putting some polish on upcoming comic pages, and possibly working on some reward drawings too. Feel free to bring ...
From a request for a Serafine-style werewolf. It turned out a bit creepier than intended, but I suppose Serafine wouldn't have it any other way. At least she brought her own boar's head for the barbecue. (That's what BYOB means, right?)

Gowns and galas aren't really her scene, but maybe for one evening...
From a request for Elsa looking somewhat more lighthearted than usual in a new dress. Got a bit carried away with it.
The downloadable attachment here is a PSD file broken down into silhouette, line, color, shadow, detail and texture layers.
Feel free to muck around with it, recolor the line art, or clip individual characters out, photoshop them into compromising situations and extort them for blackmail moneys.
Really, though, you can make avatars or icons or social media graphics out of them if you like. No commercial use/product printing with these, though, and please just credit the source if yo...
Well, I finally added color to the whole heap. I don't know if 'stylized' is the proper word here, though - these are perhaps just more 'simplified' than anything. I'm left feeling like I should have pursued bolder, more exaggerated shapes with these. Nevertheless, it was a good exercise for an artist who tends to lose sight of overall form in the process of over-rendering and chasing after details. I'll try again someday for something more daring.
For $2+ Patrons, I'll make a do...
It's a real party at Viktor's place.
I've been fighting with the colors on this for hours now. They're not quite right, but May is ending, so I had better set it down for the moment. This is the first part of the next chapter, which I'll attempt to wrap up fully in June. This will remain a Patron only preview in the meantime, though.
I've got some extra artwork to share this weekend as well!

Hey all,
I'm streaming some comic work this Sunday evening and into the night. Please feel free to join me to lurk, chat or ask questions at your leisure!

Working on the next comic update!
Meanwhile, here's something else I've had in progress for a while (I've shared the top four in the past).
In art, sometimes the most difficult thing is trying to override your usual habits - rendering, detailing, and texturing everything to death, uh, for instance. Here I'm instead trying to distill the characters down to fewer lines to rely more on overall shape, and to push those shapes somewhere a bit bolder. With that in mind, many of the...
Hi all,
I'll be streaming this Saturday, April 27th, starting at 4pm CST (5pm EST) at my Twitch Channel. I'll be working on some artwork and character designs. Feel free to bring requests if you have them!
Hope to see you there!
Mystery Mélange is what the lunch ladies call it. It's really just Art Loaf.
Anyway, some relatively recent stuff.
The prompt for the especially creepy second to last image was "if Rocky was the murderer". I guess we'll just pretend this is an AU in which he wouldn't immediately fall off the railing into a spiky shrubbery.
Posting this exclusively for Patrons for the moment, just to say thanks for your patience.
This took longer than my projection because I added the next update to it as well. This way, it's much longer than it would have been had I posted it last week, and it wraps up this segment. When it came down to it, I couldn't really justify spreading this bit out across multiple updates. On to another chapter and different characters next time.

Hey guys,
Just posting to say the comic update will be along mid-week for Patrons.
I've had bronchitis for a not insignificant chunk of March, and though I'm just about back at 100%, I just didn't have the stamina I needed to drag this thing across the finish line this weekend like I had wanted to.
Anyway, I'll be back shortly with a comic!
Hi all,
I'm presently streaming work on some comic panels and plan to be doing so pretty late into this stormy Thursday night. Please feel free to come by for a chat or a lurk!

A patron had asked for a sketch of Mordecai, body pillow style, for her birthday. (Mordecai brought his usual enthusiasm to bear. Also, his electric iron.)
Well, it turns out she actually went and had a body pillow made out of it.
Just thought I'd share for amusement's sake. Thanks for the photos, Nicole!
