This is a small album from a recent excursion I took to a Missouri ghost town called Moselle. The train depot (no longer standing) closed down decades ago and the whole place drifted out of time.
It's probably of minimal interest here, but it's the sort of thing that inspires many aspects of Lackadaisy. I'm a little obsessed with abandoned places. I guess I'm just sharing this in case anyone else here appreciates the lovely, lonely pathos of decay.

Hmm. Some sort of AU in which the cosmos have beset Mordecai with a long-haired Chihuahua...
These are a mix of reward drawings and Anthrocon sketches (some of which I ended up drawing at home and doing some digital processing on because I ran out of time at the convention). Argh. One small bit left to this chapter. So close to done, but I have to go hop on a plane. I need to do some color correcting on this too, but I'm out of time and running on little sleep at this moment.

I polished up some art from the last livestream to make it more presentable. The prompt from the chat was for Elsa with a smile.
I've also uploaded a YouTube video of the last stream at high speed (4 hours and 45 minutes shortened down to about 15 minutes). It includes some work on a comic panel and the drawing for this picture.

About my execution here, I have regrets. An annotated process video seemed like a good idea the outset, but I think it fails to communicate as thoroughly as it ought to. Along with simply being difficult to read amidst the fidgets of high-speed Photoshop UI action, short captions can't really convey enough about what's going on. I realize now that a narrated instructional video in real time probably would have been a better approach.

So, for the sake of better storytelling, I decided to do some last minute rejiggering on the incoming comic update. As a result, there are two update options right now. The first option is a shorter update tomorrow, followed by another short update in early April. Second option is to wait until the start of next week for the full, longer update.

A quicky I just cleaned up. It came from a Patron livestream. Thank you for the prompt! It was something along the lines of 'What happens when Lackadaisy discovers the internet?' ("Inanity followed by tears" is the holding pattern.)
My alternate idea was to make a comic about Rocky launching a high fashion cactus-wear etsy store....but it appears there are already numerous etsy stores dedicated to keeping your cacti en vogue. -_-

In profile, my Siamese-mix cat looks like a distinguished gentleman. From the front, the effect is more like, "BUH?"
Anyway, I'm putting together a digital painting process video with notes for this - trying to at least. I have to focus all of my attentions on comic stuff for now. I'll get back to this, but I figured I could at least share the static image in the meantime.
