Just some examples of what's been going on the past month. Everything is compositing (and audio) right now!
Here are the first and second clips in video format, since it's less crunchy than GIF.
You can see that comp isn't just sandwiching the layers of a scene together...
I needed a 'portrait' image for some upcoming things (more about that soon), but I hate using photos. I've had this image of Freckle as an avatar for so long, I think it's probably more recognizable online than my face would be anyway.
The old art (included in the post for comparison) was done a long time ago for little convention buttons, though. It looks too rough around the edges for anything bigger than a small scale pfp. So, I had to give Freckle a little higher resolution glow u...

We started off working on the end credits with a 'let's not overcomplicate this'.
...and then we proceeded to fully overcomplicate it.

Motion graphics artist Lollie is busy working on the ending credits sequence for the film. Of course, we couldn't miss shouting out all of the feline assistance we've had along the way. The art direction we gave for this segment was mostly just 'Pepe Silvia'.
(Nobu was Fable's bantam rooster who passed away in the middle of production - he has been made an honorary cat.)
As some of you may know, Iron Circus will be reprinting the Lackadaisy books in the coming year, and new publisher means new cover art and new book layouts!
This is sort of a reprise of a much older piece you can see among the images attached here. Also included is the version with the title art, a line-up of the new covers, the thumbnail concepts I did for these to design them, and a sepia version of this, just for fun.
...just patiently waiting while we scramble to wrap things up.

This was the final bit of rough animation to be done It also happens to be the first shot of the film.
Fable just pulled several very late nights and one all-nighter to wrap this up in-between all of the other things we're juggling right now. What remains to be done for the film at this stage is sound and comp, plus a couple of special effects (including some style transference we're doing for this shot). We've got ...
