Tough break buddy, I'm using it now. 

Old sketch with lots of technical problems, but I dig the vibe of my character as a nasty big bro/dad that shows up next to your trailer and relieves himself... cos he knows you'll be lookin'.

Golden sunset

Sometimes I worry that my storytelling is kinda pretentious/cheesy/unclear, and this was one of those pics. The script for the scene that they gave me was one one where Chase on some level knows that this embrace is a bad idea, but chooses instead to think about the "good old days". I was told this is before shit really hits the fan in this storyline too, and wanted to reflect that in the painting;

So they're looking at the sunset, with golden clouds behind them - but also a storm rolli...

Yeenr commish

This commissioner wanted a sketch to then upgrade to a painted version. Finding the 'look' for the painted version took a lot longer than I wanted to - I wanted to try theme it like an old pulpy adventure novel cover or something, "He came from outer furcadia!" vibes. 

Did I do alright? ;)

For this one I did most of the painting at an absurdly low resolution, and then upscaled it. It seems like a workflow that really works for me, but realistically I should just learn to zoom out more.

I tried saving time when painting the suit by reusing the values from the nude version, and mostly that worked out really well! I also bashed the red rocket from a Fallout 4 screenshot and gave it a knot heyoooooooo!!!

Gosh that's a lot of different versions!! Must be difficult to fight in the wasteland with your junk out like that

Painted doodles and unfinished

The first one is based off a dream I had of drowning. I guess I repurposed the idea and feeling into that commission for Echo much later. Brrrr. What a terrible thing to dream!

Second one is of me playing around with some brushes. I think in future works I wanna explore REALLY textured brushes, something with tons of teeth!! I think it's such a nice look.

The third one has been posted on twitter before but I figured I'd put it here for posterity. In my head she was a werewolf roam...

Echo HQ versions

✌ Mwah! My favourite out of these is the one where Jenna looks behind her.

These are made in a 4:3 aspect ratio originally, so if you use them as a wallpaper you might wanna consider making a crop that suits you - I didn't want to crop them and honestly I think they work alright on a 16:10 monitor, provided you select the right background display setting!

I thought I had the lighting done well, but I felt like I was moving in the wrong direction. I still liked the sketch so I redid it with a different vibe.

I might return to one of those thumbnails because I like the position and vibe, but the commissioner wanted more of a ✨mating press✨

A nsfw picture that I am exceedingly proud over. The perspective is all kinds of mangled and initially I drew the bellies of the tigers all wrong - but I just kept painted it over and over until I finally got it right.

HCFC process

For the longest time I thought I wouldn't be able to paint this picture, but it turned out really well in the end! It was the conbook cover, so I split the composition into 4 quadrants of interest - the idea being that each page would be visually interesting on its own, while also working when spread out and printed as a huge banner.
