I probably spent a little too long refining the first one, so I made sure to leave this one a little bit looser. After the viewer catches Krystal's eye on the beach, she heads for one of the changing huts, giving the viewer a subtle invitation to follow her in.

It was close in the beginning, Seff and Luna were dead even with Nytro and Tala for the first twelve hours or so. Fluff's chars even had the lead for a little while, but the patriotism of the direwuffs won out in the end. Got the sketch cleaned up and inks about half done.

This set got posted as a WIP year or two ago. I went back and reframed some of the sketches, tightening the focus on the characters, standardizing page sizes, trying to get a better feel for what this would look like as a finished picture series. It needed a couple more pages to help things flow, so pages 4 and 6 here are fresh doodles. Page 5 probably needs a resketch, at least on Kian's side, try and better convey how he's jamming his knot in there, and maybe make it a little more intimate ...

I started coloring and realized that I made this page at the wrong resolution. I've been meaning to do them at 4:3 and 3:4, but I did this one at 2:3. Force of habit. My normal blank canvas is 2:3.
Oh well. The wider perspective is better for a PoV anyway.

Plans for June are to start the month off trying to finish the remaining two pages of Knot Enough, back to back. I've also been commissioned to finish this sketch up into a proper colored picture, and that'll be happening as soon as Knot Enough is done. I've also been working on the commission I owe Kman off and on, and there's like three poses left to sketch for that before the whole doodle page is ready for ink and color. That means July is when we might return to the regular sketches/color...
