April 2021 Requests

Sorry for being a bit quiet the last week.  But I've got a WIP for you and a couple things to go over.

Edit: I keep meaning to say this but I keep forgetting when I'm writing these.  Since there's going to be ~9 poll options this month (4 from feb, 4 from march, plus maybe the second place from Jan) I will probably be inserting the second/third place pics as bonus options in polls for the next couple months, to make sure they've got a fair chance at getting colored.

Working out the ideas for this month.  Took yet another run at artic explorer x snow leopard, but I think it'll lose out to cat Nora + cat Maren.  Dunno.  The other three are pretty well settled on.

Two characters I haven't drawn before, but have appeared in some of Domo's sketches and pics, our characters Merle and Lynn.  Foxes, sisters, witches.

Apo and Quinn both asked for somewhat similar, but not exactly identical, pics of Mike and Evals.  I think this pic might fit both of them, especially as I've tried to line them up such that an alt version or two should be workable.  

March 2021 Requests

As mentioned, Feb and March are going to be a combined month.  I'm still planning to knock out a couple sketches from the list of Feb requests, but the fact I haven't makes things slightly more complicated for those who might've been planning to give their ideas a second try.  So, this is the current state of things.

I was kind of at a loss as to what to sketch in the background, like details to add to the room to make it more uniquely Seff and Luna's bedroom.  I got Seff's Polaroid camera in there, but didn't occur to me till later that I should add like, Luna's notepad/pencil (for when she needs to 'talk' to someone that doesn't understand sign language), Seff's knife collection, walkman/boombox/80's electronics, etc.  I should also figure out some posters to put on their walls, what bands/mus...

Had a bit of a think, and I've decided that I'm going to need to call Feb and March a combined month.  I don't really want to do it, but February is the shortest month, I'm already behind, and I'm just not going to get any more ahead with big pictures like this one to do.  My current plan is to finish this picture (I had said I would be starting on the requests for this month soon, but after deciding this I thought it would be faster if I didn't have to change gears/drop what I'm do...

Turns out 5 characters is a lot of work.  Still streaming for a few more hours tonight, I think all that's left to do for the character sketches is Luna's hands and maybe sneak a bit of Jen's tail in somewhere, then work iron out the background.  I'll see you guys tomorrow for the requests post, there'll be no theme next month since we've had a few months of themed sketches in a row.

Well, my sleep schedule kinda self-destructed for a few days there, but I'm back in the groove and sleeping reasonable amounts at reasonable hours.  There were three requests for something with Maddie and Maeve, though each was somewhat different.  Since two of the requesters had another idea that I thought I would draw, I went with something most closely met with Synariel's request for the Maddie and Maeve pic.
