Lots of studies again, I'm really having a good time with the green pen I got!
Next months might be a little different, because I want to take part in an october challenge. I'm not sure how many I'll manage, but the $1 tier will get the initial sketch, and the $3 tier will get some process images. I think I'll compile the $1 sketches into the monthly pdf, and I'll probably make a few process posts through the month for the $3 <3

I forgot to save proper process images for this page! Here's what I could salvage :'). You can see how ugly it looks without the purple and blue layer ontop of the characters! It's quite tough working like this- I like to work with the colours myself rather than use overlays, but its a lot slower and a lot more restrictive! I figured so I could gradient between pink and blue I would use the fast way, rather than having two palettes like last time (it sucked ahaha)

I've been really unsatisfied with the quality of the pages I've been uploading to tapas recently, so I'm trying to take more care + spend a *little* bit longer on each. Its a tough balance!
ALSO at some point next month I'll be doing some October challenge art (poscatober? Do what I wantober?) so $3+ tier will get some good process stuff :)!

I've overdone it a little with my wrist (partially due to some intensive yoga, oops), so the charity case page will likely be out early next week! The good news is I'm very ahead with the secret project I've been working so hard on, so I'll probably be able to get back to normal charity case updates at the end of september <3. Sometimes sketches just aren't good enough to be polished- the hand in the second sketch was badly placed + it was throwing off the tones/shapes for me!

The comic I'm working on is set in 90's Britain, so I've been researching a lot of grunge and britpop fashion, to try and make the characters feel distinct from current styles! You can see I've re-vamped Brandi and Red, technically they belong in the 70's and 80's, but I've shoved them along the timeline for this project.
