Announcement (+art!)

I've gotten a project to make a 20ish page comic for something- which is due in 2 months, which means I'm going to be uhhh hellishly busy! I'm not really sure how it's going to work, I should still be able to get a Charity Case page out a week. I'll reduce frequency on tapas etc, too, so you'll still be way ahead of the crowd.

There might be a reduction in sketch content- I'll try my best, but ultimately I need to make sure my wrists are ok during this crunchy period.

I think switching to a blocky colourful style has definitely had a negative affect on the clarity of locations, I hope it's still grounded enough to feel like a place!

Life and sketchbook update!

Hey all! I've had a bit of a rocky weekend and start of week, I wont go into gross details but I'm on antibiotics for my eye, and they're not sure what's causing the issues so it's a little stressful! I'm not too behind, but I still wanted to keep you all posted in case I'm a little slow. I should be fine getting two pages out as usual, and I'll get the polls out soon too!

An update on sales tax (patreons changing some things)

Heya! Apparently there are some new laws in certain places, which means in those places there'll be a small tax charge (boo!) There's sadly not much I can do, but I wanted to let you know before it happens.

Getting the hang of texturing and toning my inks- but it still takes SO LONG, the inking itself probably takes the least time :S

You can see I'm re-using a colour scheme here- but I actually ended up finding that light teal and peach combo alongside the original palette, and I think the page feels quite different to the earlier scene.

Chapter 6 thumbnails and lyrics (minor content spoilers!)

It took me FAR too long to write the lyrics hahaha, I'm a very visual person and I have so little talent with words, so this was a challenge! I know lyrics don't necessarily have to rhyme, or make sense, but I think because I'm only working with the written side it has to look good to read, and have a rhythm without music. 

(The general gist is Julien falling in love/getting his hopes up too easily)

That colour palette is future me's problem haha. I really hope I can keep it this wacky, but it'll take a lot of work to make each character stand out I think!

I'm still not totally happy with Marnies clothes here, I think the big jacket/jumper is a bit unflattering, I might revisit it before I start the chapter!
