There's a TV?! (this is the first time I've actually shown this half of the room since....chapter 2??)

I really wish I had made a diagram of which containers went where, because every panel I'm like 'two here?? red food? maybe?'
They're just switching around the boxes really fast between panels ;P.
It IS fun to draw bags getting crumpled and beers being distributed though!

I loooove drawing these kind of expressions :P

One of the things I notice I struggle with a lot is visual pacing, so I'm trying to leave more space and panels for dialogue, and for making the scene feel more real! It feels a little bad when you get pages that don't have much happening, but I think its better for the end result :S.

I'd rank drawing people putting things in their mouths as one of the hardest things to draw, and YET I include it in every scene :')

These updates are making me crave chinese food so so bad
2019-12-05 17:10:29 +0000 UTC View PostI spent a good chunk of time away from my laptop, so a fair few of these are traditional!

I loooooove drawing food! Its fun trying to indicate what something is using basic brushstrokes and colours.
I forgot to save a proper rough colour version, so it's a little earlier in the process!

Hiya all! I had hoped to get this page out today, but it's taken me a while to settle on colours, and I'm going away tomorrow until sunday, so I'm afraid it'll have to be pushed to next week!
Thanks for your patience, and I hope you're ready for some tasty tasty food >:)
I've been having lots of fun with this months sketches, and some Q&A stuff too, so look forward to that sometime next week too <3

Brought some orange into this scene, I wanted the restaurant to have a warmer, positive feel, in contrast to the cold pink I've been using for light tones up til now!
You can also see at first I had everyone clumped to the right, but the page felt so unbalanced that I shifted everyone around! (And then shifted them again, because it felt too much like a line :p)
I'm going to start posting speech bubble-less versions of the high res pages, because I realise posting compl...

I'm so exited to draw the inside of a house again, these last few pages have had way too many buildings :P

I'm having tons of fun with the silly expressions in these pages ;P

No joke this happened to me and my friends, we were so hungry...

I didn't like how disjointed these pages felt, so I've edited the text a fair bit and added a few more bubbles!

[this is copied from the sfw suggestions, sorry for the repeat text!]
I've been mulling over ideas for ages this month and I'm stumped, so I figured I'd put it to patrons instead!
Feel free to comment with a character, pairing, idea, something I've done in past sketches that you want to see more of, etc!
I can't do every request, but I'll keep them all in mind for future sketchbooks!
There's no pressure to comment, but it's been a while since I've do...

Originally I had all the panels pushed together, but it was so hectic I had to separate them :(. It tends to work best when theres a very different colour scheme, or if one panel is busy and the other is more empty. Sadly it didn't stand out here as much as I needed it to!

This next scene is pulled from a terrible amazing food adventure me and my friends had ;)
(I realise the text from the last page to this page is a little disjointed, so it might change a little!)

I'm really enjoying this colour scheme, I think my immediate thought for nighttime was blue and orange, but this purple and pink leads on really smoothly from the last scene, and it's always exciting trying to use colours that aren't conventional!

Mushy peas are....probably a very british thing? You get them with fish and chips (that or curry sauce, gravy, or ketchup etc)

I used the reference photos for a loose idea of building types and stuff! The town is mostly based on Falmouth, you get snippets of the sea through the high street, and it's something I really miss!
I think it's lacking some depth over the sea areas, maybe I'll change it later when I can think of a better way to do it. The problem with flat colours, everything is equally sharp (I just thought now, maybe I should have blurred it! Ah well, later :P.)
