Since the neck is so complicated we went ahead and duct taped the neck as well instead of patterning it seperatly. That said we did a mockup of the markings and are just waiting on customer approval before we start cutting everything out
Did some trimming on the tail at our customers request to make the markings pop a bit more. Also got the base ready to fur.

Meant to post these earlier as I was working but it slipped my mind! I have one paw completely finished and the second one is almost done, I just need to sew the lining down and do the final trim. Once I've done that it will be onto the tail.

After spending way to much time fighting with my printer I got two ear molds made and was able to cast these bad bois. Super happy how they came out, I can't wait to see how these look furred!

The remaining fur for Tephra's suit arrived today, meaning we were able to work on these handpaws again. Lots of hand sewing and ever more trimming later and we've finished the tops of the paws, now we just need to do the bottom, which will have twice as many markings. Rip my hands.

Victory! The mold for the ear worked, and while there is definite room for improvement in the mold it did in fact work! Which is great news. Once our pla arrives we'll queue up the second ear mold to print and get it casted asap. In the meantime I'm going to get the eyes queued for printing.
As for the patreon tutorial I'll be finishing that up today so it should go live some time tomorrow if all goes according to plan.
Alrighty! We got the hyena base cast and carved and took some quick pics using the prototype eye we made. We also printed a mini version of the new ear mold and did a test cast. After some tweaks to the molds shape we've queued it up for printing at the full scale. So while that runs in the background we're gonna get the base lined. Mold is all finished printing! There are few cosmetic flaws on the pink half which we repaired with some apoxie sculpt. We'll let it cure overnight before we cast our first base from this mold! :)

I've wanted to get into 3D printing TPU, as it's so versatile in Fursuit Making, however, I've had a lot of struggles with it, and frankly, I don't have the time right now to dedicate to learning. This took way longer than it should have to make. Between my sublimation printer having issues and my 3D printer I spent most of the day just trouble shooting my equipment. But I came out victorious in the end!
I need to make a few minor tweaks to the eye blanks, as the walls on the current iteration are a bit too thin, making the eye fragile. But that's an easy enough fix and one I can do at my leisure. In the meantime I've got the mold queued for printing, and with any luck it won't...
Mini cast came out pretty well, just need to make a few tweaks to the mold to stabilize it as right now it wants to topple over. So tomorrow I'll make the adjustments and get this bad boi queued for printing.

Got the eyes 3D modelled and iris drawn up. I was also able to finally get a (mostly) successful test print of the mold. I want to make a few tweaks to it before I do the full scale print, but progress is being made!

These paws are decently complex, but i have all the grey and black cut and sewn. I'm just waiting for the red and orange furs to arrive so I can finish the paws. In the meantime I'm working on getting the mold printed for their base. Once the printer stops being a butt that is.
Once I have the mold (properly) printing I'll be dedicating my time to finishing up this month's tutorial; plantigrade sockpaws (pictured above).

Okay, this time, I swear I'm done with the website. Honestly, I just need to leave it alone at this point, as good will have to be good enough; otherwise, I'll be at this for all eternity. We have a little bit of downtime as we wait for Zion's DTD to arrive so we are using that time to develop a new sockpaw pattern, only this one is plantigrade!

All finished the feetpaws! I made some alterations to my sockpaw pattern, and so far I like this new version better. Once I iron out a few kinks I'll release the updated verison to you lovely folks.
That said I was hoping to take pics of Darius's suit in action but the feetpaws ended up taking me all day so I missed my opportunity. So I'll need to take pics tomorrow when the sun returns.
Made a new nose for Darius's head, aswell as the eyelids. With the head fully complete I've now started on the sockpaws. I managed to get quite a bit of the sockpaws done, leaving only the soles of the feet which I will do tomorrow. So with any luck I'll be fully finished this suit tomorrow, so expect some pictures of this cutie in action soon!

Meant to post this last night before bed but forgot, woops! Anyways the head is essentially done, it just needs eyelids. I may remake the nose out of pla but for now this is what the head looks like. With the head done it will be onto the feetpaws!
