I wanted to draw something weird. Something challenging like I've never done before. I also wanted to draw something for Quinn that included their character Frey.

I've been calling it the "Harmony Dice System" privately to myself. Which is distinctly less private as of this posting. It was inspired by the idea of finding balance between two chaotic elements. This was such a fun page to draw, and not just because I randomly happened to meet three entirely new characters while I was drawing it.
I tried to capture the Dolly Zoom effect from Vertigo or Jaws for those middle panels there. Maybe I succeeded? I wonder if Max has heard stories of these three.

It's kind of funny for me to think that book he's holding drops a giant lore bomb right in plain sight, but I doubt anyone will probably ever be able to read it. It's not very legible even on the High Res version, and what language even IS that anyway?
