A quick piece with the tennis player and her assistants. This is a coloring test/ practice in preparation for the comic. I’m trying to figure out exactly what stylistic direction I want to go in for the coloring and shading.

More experimentation in 3d and in combining 2d and 3d. I’m really happy with the results. With this I think I’m ready to shift gears and start working on full on paintings. I’ve got a few in the early stages and I really can’t wait to start fleshing them out.

Here is a little close up detail shot of the model at the moment. I’m almost done grooming the fur and getting ready to start rigging. I’m trying to go for a kind of stylized realism with her fur. Really liking the results so far but it’s a very steep learning curve.

I ended up reworking page one a bit as the visual style of the comic and the script have changed a bit since I first drew it. I’m now on the final push to get the comic done. I’ve got every page fully blocked out with text added, so now it’s just a matter of doing a lot of line art and coloring!
