I want to make a cat-themed painting at some point in the future, so I've been practicing my cat drawing skills! These are sketches of my own kitties, Obi and Chewie. It started as a page in my sketchbook and I brought it into Photoshop and added some more rendering/shading to the sketches! Cats are really hard to get right, especially their faces - but I definitely had a lot of fun with these. Hope you like them!

It's time for a new monthly challenge! This month we'll be doing statue studies, which is basically a type of master study focused specifically on sculptures. This is a great exercise for studying volume and lighting, and also for understanding the incredible artistry that went into these sculptures. You can create greyscale studies, but if you're feeling adventurous, you can also add some color! The inspiration folder has some examples of how you can approach this.
