Felt like painting something I haven't painted in a while, metal is fun to paint, will make a tutorial on it

this is purely from imagination. Usually, when I begin a piece, I have an idea in mind, but sometimes I'll go in blindly, letting the painting lead the way. When I do have a specific idea, I start by gathering references, taking elements I like from them. Often, I'll find a photo that captivates me, and I'll paint it, interpreting it in my own style, altering colors or lighting to suit my vision.

Just dropping in to let you know why I've been ghosting here for a bit. Got hit with food poisoning... not once, but twice! It was quite severe

Shapes to look for in studies (voiced)

Hey everyone! Today, we're taking a closer look at common shapes and shadows we see all around us. Getting a grip on these can really up your shape design and painting. I did show some of this in my last demo, but its easier to explain things voiced. I also show how I apply them, Just a heads up, this is my first time doing a voice-over, so bear with me. Color method demo

here is a little demo on a good way to start a painting, with abstract color patches. This method lets you make the painting vibrant but cohesive at the same time, avoiding the muddy color problem, by having each color group transition into one another, similar to value grouping. try the method with those 2 brushes attached, hf!
