this is purely from imagination. Usually, when I begin a piece, I have an idea in mind, but sometimes I'll go in blindly, letting the painting lead the way. When I do have a specific idea, I start by gathering references, taking elements I like from them. Often, I'll find a photo that captivates me, and I'll paint it, interpreting it in my own style, altering colors or lighting to suit my vision.

This method lets you make the painting vibrant but cohesive at the same time, avoiding the muddy color problem, by having each color group transition into one another, similar to value grouping. try the method with those 2 brushes attached, hf!
