2019-12-09 11:12:35 +0000 UTC View PostI chose to field this question specifically because it's been a while since we saw Carmen out of costume, and I wanted to remind people that she does in fact h ave a secret identity.
2019-12-09 11:11:25 +0000 UTC View PostThis page was written just a week or two ago, well after this episode was in full swing, because I remembered that it had been a while since we last saw Jean, and we do like her on the Salvadora creative team so I threw in a page to get her into the comic again.
2019-12-02 11:12:05 +0000 UTC View PostYou see, Finch is an avid collector of bootleg and unauthorized merch of herself. It just so happens that the "overseas market" is really into pairing her off with a certain other hero...
2019-11-25 21:29:07 +0000 UTC View PostThis page is a little sampling of what conventions are like. Mel goes to a lot of conventions so her experience really shines through in the backgrounds.
Originally in the script, the Salvadora bootleg comics were just going to be some generic random person, but Justin decided to make the sellers be the real-life Salvadora creative team.

This story is based on an experience I think just about everyone has had going to a convention with friends. You get too engrossed in a booth for a minute or two and your friends have wandered off.
2019-11-04 11:33:34 +0000 UTC View PostThis page ended up very different from the script, mainly to save space. I overstuffed the page with dialogue so we did some trimming while keeping the gist the same. X&P's activities at Capecon reflect a growing trend of e-thots going to conventions and really just making money by appearing there. The merch they sell is really just an extension of their own personal brand bought because people like them, not because they think the merch is worthwhile. It's a lot like the Tiger handheld v...
2019-10-28 10:08:30 +0000 UTC View PostThis is the first time a male has appeared in the comic in at least a year.
This upcoming scene helps to further establish Xatra and Pulchritudinous as "social media influencer" types, AKA Thirstagram thots. They love being the center of attention and making lots of money, which you'll see especially on the next page.
