This page changed a little bit from the script, mainly to make it less clunky. Comparing the script with how Justin actually drew the page, I can see how I wrote it a little clunkily, and Justin took the initiative to make the page much more svelte.
It wasn't how I pictured Pulchritudinous getting wrapped up in the net, but it was much better, so kudos to Justin for coming up with something much better than I imagined, and kudos to me for writing it vaguely in the first place to leave i...

This was a pretty simple page to write, where I left a good deal up to Justin on art.
What's most important here is that because of Gamma Cutie's clumsiness, she's been made to sit the volleyball game out, which leaves the good guys at a 3-4 disadvantage. When someone has a numerical disadvantage like that, it makes people want to cheer them on as an underdog. It's one of the oldest tricks in the book for getting the people behind the good guys.

Oh, that Gamma Cutie!
This page highlights Gamma Cutie's ditziness, and also takes her out of the volleyball game, as you'll see on the next page. The reason for this is very simple storytelling: you put the heroes at a disadvantage (in this case, a numerical disadvantage) which makes people naturally want to cheer for them. This is a time-tested and proven method of rallying the fans behind the babyfaces.

My idea in the script was to have that quintessential "hero/villain face-off" scene like in the opening credits of X-Men: The Animate Series, with both sides rushing towards one another. Justin decided to make it like a fighting game character select screen, both for his love of fighting games and also because it's easier to draw.
Of course, a comic like Salvadora is no place for a big epic battle! Problems in this comic get resolved in more fitting ways...like bouncy, jiggly beach voll...

Gotta love those technicalities.
When it comes to alt costumes, we here at Salvadora HQ love 'em. I thought it would be pretty funny, though, to have every Pulchritudinous alt costume be almost indistinguishable from her normal outfit. She's always nice and covered up.
This is also the first time Sunshine Savior's name has appeared in the comic proper. Sorry about that. I just never got around to properly introducing her until now. Could be worse, though. It could be like Xatra wh...

This page is all about showing off the swimsuits!
We added a bit of fourth wall-breaking dialogue just to add a bit of humor to the page in the first panel.
Pulchritudinous' swimsuit version of her costume is a wetsuit, which will be revealed on the next page. You guys get to know it early, though!
Justin likes doing character design so I didn't bother dictating anything for these character's swimsuits, outside of Pulchri's being specifically a wetsuit. A running gag with he...

No script this time - after all, this page was made on the fly!
Justin didn't want the swimsuit reveal crammed into a panel of last week's page, so he saved it for a splash page today! The joke here is that Salvadora's swimsuit is way less skimpy than her usual costume while Finch's is way skimpier.
