Checking in

This is a space to co-create. If you weren't here I wouldn't be here either. So this is a checking-in with you.

I'm curious about your experience, your opinion about this space, what you like, what you don't like so much, what could be better in your opinion, if I post too much, too little, if you think it's worth it or not, about the tiers and price... All those things and anything else that you can think of. Feel free to post here or DM me.

This is a journey, even more i...

Profound

Yes, I've got a spot. What is encapsulated there that I want to get rid off...? 😅

Have a lovely Monday and start of the week (if you consider that Monday is the start of the week), and gentle reminder by baby snail of slowing down ❤️ x

Sunday

This afternoon we explored the river upstream and discovered amazing spots... I did not bring anything but myself so there's no pictures I'm afraid... The exploration turned out to be hilarious because at some point we found trash (two medium batteries, maybe from a farmer's fence) and decided to try to walk back with them somehow rather than going down the river with them. We followed a sort of a path by the riverside and thinking that we could get back to our swimming spot at some point, we...

Spinning around

Initial chilliness followed by spinning around in the river... Circular movement and waves against the straightness of the river flow creates some beautiful patterns... Life itself, when I feel my inner organic movement or what I want to do crashes into rigid, linear categories in which I do not fit, I do not want to fit in, or I see unnecessary...

P.s. this afternoon I've been trying to fill in some tedious documents online about taxes and other bureaucratic issues for hours, and it...

Energised

After a not so good night (one of those when I dream very vividly about things that I am doing or are pending in the awake world rather than weird dreams that spark my imagination, and waking up too early with a busy mind) I had an amazing time swimming in the river around sunrise... it was chilly but again, like these days, the combination of factors get me more energised to keep going up and down the river. Love it. Also, the clouds were amazing, there was a wren on a branch, the silence......

Delightful swim

Just been immersing in this very autumnal landscape. Soft, late sun, long shadows, warm enough rays to balance the chilly water. Really delightful. I love the effect of the reflections in some of the pictures, as if I was a water entity of 4 arms. I thought of Kali. Maybe a sister.

Tickled by drizzle

I'm loving these days swims of colder water. I'm even swimming for longer than usual every time I go... I can't get enough (to a certain point of course). Wanting to squeeze time to be with river... Merging with water in different forms, in flow, in dropplets, mixed with soil... Just enjoying merging with her so much these days. It does not come from the need to cool down, it come from an unconditional love to be there, no matter what the weather is or how cold it can get

A day of orbayu (Asturian word for drizzle), sweet rain with tickling sound on the leaves of this elder who is not good enough for IG posting

Ethereal atmosphere

Today I really noticed a drop in the water's temperature. I had quite few swims over the day in-between jobs and chores. And I really tuned into winter swims, that anticipation of mornings becoming fresher, water colder, being challenged and nurishing at equal amounts... There's also some grief about knowing that long swims are going to become rarer (maybe), and there's excitement about keeping getting to know this river day by day, over the seasons...

When I feel that I'm getting ungr...

Beach for myself in the morning

This morning I left the van covered wrapped in my cotton scarf (I call it super saver scarf because I've been using it for all sorts over the years: it can be a scarf, a towel, a bandana, a shelter, an emergency dress or top... even a bandage and tourniquet!) and had.an amazing time by myself at the beach. I love early morning dips, see sky waking up too.

The sea was playful and strong, and I treated her with respect (when lifeguards arrived hours later they out a red flag...) and saf...

Recharging sea

Some stressful times followed by discovering an amazing new beach. Best decision. Really atmospheric, cloudy, fresh (20 degree Celsius drop of temperature in a couple of days!), drizzle... Really gorgeous place and I loved the weather, it was lovely to feel freshness again in the air!!!

Too 🔥

Today's morning swim was marvellous. It was a joy to follow the delightful early morning sun's movement in the water, plants while doing Qigong in my magical spot.
It feels like the hottest day of the summer... Apparently 38 degrees Celsius right now. Definitely too much for me. Lucky to be able to dip many times. Now in the city for a few hours... Looking forward to being back in the water.

What's the maximum temperature you feel comfortable with?

Golden clay

On our penultimate day of holiday last week we found this beach with cliffs made of golden clay... So we had golden clay baths! There were only a few people around, very chilled and fun to blend with the landscape!
What's your favourite picture?

Days 5-6 (maybe!))

Throwback to the last leg of the holidays last week... A couple of beautiful beaches. The first one was a designed naturist one, with impossible sea to swim... We managed to get in as soon as we arrived, as it was not too crazy, but then it became a matter of cooling down from the shore... The combination of the force of the waves and the rocks and pebbles was too tricky.
I love picture 4, that rock looks like a ship across the ocean (with a seagull on top, right in the middle), breaking ...

Day 3: Xana's pool with rainbow

The leyend here goes like this: a Xana (Asturian mythological female entity who inhabits springs, waterfalls, rivers, caves, woodland...) was in love with a shepherd from the area. One day he fell asleep by the river and was carried away by a sudden strong current. The Xana built a pool so he would not crash into the rocks... He survived but never came back, as he was traumatized... They say that sometimes you can hear her crying by the waterfall...

Truly enchanted place; even more sw...

Day 2: second waterfall

After the early morning dip in the first waterfall (previous post) and breakfast we drive towards our next destination. A wonderful hike amongst pine, silver birches, oak... to a very secluded waterfall. The place there was welcoming, magical, with a sort of a woodland peninsula surrounded by the waterfall and the stream that flew from her. We spent the whole day there, with many frequent dips, damselflies, Qigong, napping, drawing, writing, being, under alder... Only a couple came to visit ...

Day 2: first waterfall!

This waterfall is on the same trail as the one from the previous day. Glorious one. Considering that it's been such a dry year it was great to feel the force. I'd like to visit her in winter; it must be spectacular. This was a morning dip, first thing in the morning. Then breakfast and more exploring...

Day 1: after the sea...waterfalls

The first picture shows the first 'waterfall' of our holiday 😅 it was pretty dry!!! The drive there was pretty crazy, going from sea level into the mountains in no time, on very bumpy, dusty roads, with stunning views (I tried to avoid looking too much while driving!) of the coastline and the mountains with heather, gorse, pine... When we found the waterfall (waterdrop) we laughed so much... and kept going through the crazy roads for our next stop... From where the other pictures are! That...

First stop: the sea!!

Last week we started our holiday exploring areas of my region that we hadn't been before, and that I guessed were not crowded or popular with tourists... We had a vague idea about the areas we wanted to explore, and the priorities were quiet places by wildwaters. I had put some pins of waterfalls on the map. That was it.

First stop before driving inland was the sea... Pretty quiet beach with gorgeous waves. Not necessarily nudist, but for me all beaches I go to, and I'm cosy in them, ...

Throwback to Cornwall

I was here two summers ago, while being the driver of my DJ friend. Stopping at stunning places. Aww the UK Southwest coastline, love it! It reminds me of this other home of mine where I'm from and where I live. Celtic lands feel like home to me. Are home.
It's incredible how much life can change in two years... Where were you two years ago?

Throwback to winter

Apparently a heatwave is coming so to keep cold when I can't be by cold water... I rescue some very cold memories of an stunning place in the middle of Spain from a couple of winters ago. I was traveling in my van escaping the cold months in the UK and visiting family and friends after a few years without having seeing them. Gorgeous memories of this place with my soulsistas.

Amphibian morning

I'm taking a week off work and responsibilities (yay!), and to celebrate it I'm embracing my inner frog in the river by faery island - combining mythos, animal body, playfulness, lightness, amphibiousity... I can't wait to discover waterfalls and woods, and disconnect from the things that I do not enjoy doing (paperwork, burocracy...), And to fully connect with the land and water. Not going far, I want to explore an area in my region that's completely unknown to me. Mystery calls, and adventu...
