Blue VS. Black and White

With my recent round of Moleskines, I've given my sketches a blue overlay via Photoshop along with my usual touch-ups. I do this with all my inked and colored works as it allows me to see the ink lines better over blue lines, and recently I feel like it makes the picture look... better, for lack of a better word. I feel like my sketches look too messy in black and white. What do you all think?

Here we got a short comic with Lancer and Susie (based on a bit from The Brak Show), a creepier version of Lancer's head, and Susie's defining scene where she nearly gives Kris a bad case of not-face.

Midweek Moleskine: Misc. Spaceships

Couldn't think of what to draw for this week's MM, so I just started mashing up random geometric shapes and turning them into spaceships. which turns out to be a pretty good strategy overall for drawing spaceships.

Decided to do some more studies in things I can't draw- snake scales!

Now, I love drawing snakes; I literally spent a whole year of elementary school drawing almost nothing but snakes so I could get a grip on how to draw them. But scales are a pain in the ass to render realistically. Postponing Inkvember

So, I've been given it a bit of thought and realized that I've been a bit hasty regarding Inkvember. Considering that I still have several commissions on the backburner to do, I will thus be postponing Inkvember to the month of December instead.

I apologize for disappointing anyone, but between work and commissions I don't know if I'd reasonably have time to work on Inkvember pieces as well, at least in a way that'd guarantee quality output for either one, and I'd hate to post...
